A Mw6.3 earthquake has occurred near vanuatu. This was a normal faulting outer rise quake, similar to what occurred in 1933 sanriku quake, which produced a massive tsunami (however was much larger magnitude). These can produce large tsunamis with little shaking due to distance.

Rooftops+Large earthquakes freak me out so bad. In 2011 workers were at the top of the Tokyo Skytree when the earthquake struck and the footage is terrifying

My sheets in 950nm and in Visible+IR. The pattern is invisible to 950nm. Pretty neat stuff.

When I saw shindo 3 in like 160 seconds pop up last night I was so confused, saw chishima max shindo 7 and thought there was a M9.2 or smth there, saw 9.9 and knew it was in error since its not realistically possible
