According to the family’s account, Ali was in his father’s arms when he was shot during the crackdown by forces of the Islamic Republic terrorist regime. His parents were left with the most unbearable loss imaginable: a two year old child who would never come home, never grow older, never turn three. No tiny footsteps through the house. No little arms reaching for Mom and Dad. No bedtime kisses. No watching him grow. Forever two years old. And now someone has taken his photograph from his grave. His family says that picture was one of the few visible things they still had when they came to visit their little boy. Looking at his face reopened the wound, but it also gave them comfort. Because when the Islamic Republic terrorist regime takes your child from you, sometimes a photograph is all you have left to hold onto. Imagine being his mother or father, walking toward the grave because that is now the only place you can go to be close to your two-year-old child, and finding that even his little face has been removed.
