Since Jomo's time, the NATIVE's formula to grow fabulously rich was to work for goverment and steal. That formula hasn't changed today. In fact, it is now lawful to steal from state coffers and remain respected, admired and wealthy. Let us not just talk about governors. Judges, CSs, PSs, heads of state corporations...Land officials, Kenha, Kura, Kenya Railways...every government employee is eating. An Employee of Kenya Railways bought about 10 houses near Vipingo Ridge few years ago and paid in cashs hundreds of millions...and even @EACCKenya can't touch him because he bribes/controls everyone in Kenya...what a shame! – at Nairobi, Kenya

Apt. I come from Saba Saba. Used to be a buzz of activities when we were younger but right now it's silent...businesses close by 8pm

True development happens when power is decentralised to the people.
When citizens shape their own priorities, money stops circulating only at the top and begins to fuel real businesses, local enterprise, and community growth.
Economic empowerment begins with political empowerment.

A country borrowing Ksh 3.3 million per minute should at least show visible transformation in healthcare, jobs, food security, and infrastructure that changes lives.
Instead, Kenyans are being told to tighten their belts while debt repayments consume the future.
Future generations are inheriting obligations they never approved.
At what point do citizens say enough is enough?

A nation where nearly 90% of tax revenue goes toward debt servicing is not operating a development model , it is operating a repayment model.
This is the dangerous reality Kenya now faces.
Citizens are taxed relentlessly in the name of “development,” yet hospitals remain underfunded, industries remain weak, youth unemployment continues rising, and infrastructure expansion slows because an overwhelming portion of national revenue is consumed before government can even think about development expenditure.
At that point, taxation ceases to function as a tool for nation-building and instead becomes a mechanism for sustaining debt obligations.
No country can industrialize while future revenues are permanently tied to interest payments and loan repayments. What emerges is a fragile economy trapped between excessive borrowing, aggressive taxation, shrinking private sector productivity, and declining public trust.
An economy cannot grow when almost every shilling collected has already been promised to creditors.

The problem with Kenya is the developers. What client wants client gets
Show me a client who asked for a nice proper design and got trash instead.

I’ve not heard a single Kenyan architect or studio winning an international or regional design award.

He was always a Marxist communist. Hustler-dynasty narrative is Marxist inspired bourgeoisie-proletariat narrative. He styled himself as the chicken-seller who challenged the status quo and won, yet we all know all ruling class communists were the biggest thieves. Hates capital

All narcissists gravitate towards communism because rules for thee, but not for me. For example, UDA party officials are PAYE, SHA, Housing levy exempt. Which tribe is the most capitalist? Kikuyus. He is determined to nationalize our land, money, property for himself and cronies.

Kenya has continued paying debts year after year, yet the burden keeps growing instead of reducing. That is why we say many of these debts are illegal and odious.
In the next Safina Party government, together with the people of Kenya, we WILL NOT pay debts that never benefited Kenyans through development during the 15 years of the Uhuru and Ruto regimes.
Kenyans cannot continue suffering for loans that enriched a few while leaving the nation poorer.

The most consistent policy in Kenya since independence has been the protection of the political class from the consequences of their decisions. Everything else has been negotiable.

@Kalasinga_ free advice NEVER attach your name to shoddy work. @Kalasinga_ you can only market yourself by doing your best at whatever price. Afterall your cost in time and effort doesn’t decrease with shoddy work. Sell yourself with your best and over time your name will stand out and referrals will keep coming. Thereafter you can adjust your charges accordingly.

With the debt crisis, Kenya has no money for development. The government is borrowing for recurrent expenditure which is illegal as per our laws. The law says we must only borrow for development

The customer is broke, the trader is squeezed, the supplier is impatient and the government still wants more tax.
