This the example sheet on mail and wire fraud commonly known as catphishing, and if the amount of loss (from the single party or general public) exceeds $1M a common motive the prison term is between 41 and 51 months. So if a guy maliciously lies to @SommerRay to pull $1M for example it's about 3.75 year stent on good behavior.
