I lied. I'm not going to put in the effort to cross post #Mariners payroll updates here. Screw this place. If you want those updates, you can get them from Bluesky unless you manually check the sheet.
That includes you writers/reporters.
Goose@goose1701.com on Bluesky.
10 years ago, I stopped using Facebook entirely and haven't been back since. However I never deleted my account just in case somebody wanted to contact me and to keep squatters from taking it.
Will be the same here. This is my final tweet, but the account will remain.
Basically once either Jeff Passan and/or Ken Rosenthal and then at least one of Ryan Divish/Adam Jude/Dean Kramer make the jump to Bluesky, then my need for Twitter is gone. Rest of the communities I follow are already mostly all there.
Forgot to add Drayer to this list, but don't need to as she just made the jump today!
Hey @RyanDivish, @A_Jude, @DKramer_, @JeffPassan, @Ken_Rosenthal. You all need to get on over to the BlueSky so the rest of us can drop Twitter.
Sims had his moments, but was overall pretty bad. But most people couldn't recognize that because we are currently in the darkest period of broadcasting quality in the sports history.
Glad he's gone, but he'll be replaced by somebody even worse somehow.

I like d'Arnaud, but for the Angels to be relevant, they need to sign Juan Soto, invent a machine to travel the multiverse, sign a second Juan Soto, and then brainwash Ohtani into thinking it's 2021 and he stil plays for the Angels.

The Chiba Lotte Marines are posting Roki Sasaki, the 23-year-old right-hander regarded as one of the best pitchers in the world, paving the way for him to play Major League Baseball in 2025. Everything you need to know in news, free and unlocked at ESPN: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/4228…

Cal Raleigh is adding more hardware to his trophy case, as he’s just been named the Platinum Glove Award winner for being the best defensive player in the American League.
He’s the first player in Mariners history, at any position, to win the honor.
This week's #StarTrekLowerDecks might be one of my favorites of the whole series and one of the best Klingon centric episodes we've gotten since DS9. And I howled at the Experience Beij reference.
The Mariners as currently constructed are probably about an 82ish win team. Need to add around 10 wins to be a true division title contender.

The Mariners, known to be in the 2B market, are among the teams that have closely evaluated infielder Hye-seong Kim, whom the Kiwoom Heroes will post this offseason.
Kim, a left-handed batter, had an .841 OPS and 30 SB at age 25 in KBO this season.

Finally got around to checking out Transformers One. The first half hour or so is pretty rough, but once it gets going, it's pretty good. Easily the best Transformers movie since the 1986 classic(though still not in the ballpark of that film).

Tommy Joseph is indeed leaving the Mariners after one year as their assistant hitting coach, according to a source ... He'll take on the same role with the Orioles, as @masnRoch first noted.
Signing bonuses are consistently incorrectly reported as being spread out evenly over the life of contracts when it is often not true.
Mitch Haniger was paid the entirety of his $6M signing bonus in December of 2022.
