Status update!
We've done a lot of progress since March, and we're excited to share with you what we have so far! This upd8 will serve as a status report to show off what we've been doing behind the scenes, and to show off a bit more as we continue working on the recode.

What about the 2nd playtest?
The 2nd playtest is STILL going to happen this year!
While we don't want to make any empty promises, you can expect the playtest to start around Q3-Q4 of 2026.
At the rate we're going, I believe Q3-Q4 is a reasonable timeframe for it to happen.

#BaldisBasics Plus version 0.14.2 is now available! This is another small quality of life update. NOTICE! This update improves how custom controls are saved. Because of this, custom controls from previous versions will reset. Please keep this in mind when updating!

NOTICE: Saved control settings will reset in #BaldisBasics Plus version 0.14.2! This is due to changes being made to the way controls are saved which will allow each save file to have its own control map. We recommend how to prepare for the change in the post below.
At the minimum, the game will be saved so long as Roblox doesn't push the requirement for Plus. We can only hope this is the case around May.

With the new Roblox update coming soon, we will be forced to completely halt development on Schoolhouse Rumble. None of us want to go through with this bullshit, no less be forced to pay $5/month to make games.

This harms millions of developers worldwide and could potentially strip people of their jobs and livelihoods, as Roblox game development could be their only source of income.
