Day 27 of #HAM2022 Today we share Jane's story. She grew up with abuse in her family. She uses alcohol to ease the pain. Jane has exhausted all her social and financial resources. It is hard for her to be around other people, so she camps outside, trying to stay safe.
We're glad to be part of a team of dedicated people through the Northwest MichiganCoalition to End Homelessness. Our #StreetOutreach recently participated in a scavenger hunt team building exercise w/ @NMSHousing & @NWMICommAction housing staff. #TogetherWeCanEndHomelessness
Amazing how new paint can change your outlook! A fresh coat of beach-glass green and topaz blue paint is brightening things up for our employees at the Goodwill Inn emergency homeless shelter.
We're grateful for our team at the Inn works untiringly and with compassion.
Places for people to go can be part of a healthy homelessness response system. Thank you #TraverseCity

Safety for all is important while the community addresses homelessness. We're glad to partner w/ @CityofTC & @TraverseCityPD to provide support and the ultimate goal of helping people get a place to live. Thanks Rotary! instagram.com/p/CfoT66Xt1vM/…
Grateful to see this great opportunity for more places to live in Traverse City. This place will include a few people moving from the category of "homeless" into life-saving places called home.

Teamwork makes the dream work! Our team in Cadillac is remarkable! During store expansion, they've been supportive of one another, celebrated each other's achievements, and worked hard to get the new space ready for #thrifting! Congrats on pulling off a great expansion!
Our Youth #StreetOutreach team will on hand. Awareness, education, and reaching young people. Swing by our station!

Our store took a direct hit from the tornado. We are committed to supporting our friends, family, and neighbors in Gaylord in the coming days, and rebuilding along with our Gaylord community. instagram.com/p/Cdy8F6VMqhS/…
Our #MothersDay marquee message contest did not disappoint! Our store teams came up with so many good ideas, we awarded multiple top prizes. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

Help keep area landfills free of e-waste! Recycling ♻️ proceeds will benefit our services in the community! Thank you & thanks @Honor_Bank & #SafetyNet
Just like we break down the exiting of homelessness into manageable pieces, this heartfelt piece clearly describes a common tumble into homelessness. washingtonpost.com/opinions/…
