So our first run was rather eventful for a 60 foot squirt. We had a miscalculation that we caught right before we ran, and Tim Wilkerson did Tim Wilkerson things and moved a lot of stuff around. As bad as it looked, we still learned something. We’re still able to recover and learn. We were able to drag our car up there for the Q2 run, and I’ll be able to rest my little head on my pillow easy tonight because that 3.93 will get us in and that’s really all we’re after on these Friday/Saturday runs. We got to be in to win, so we’ll try and improve a little bit tomorrow. I think the conditions are there and we have about 800 friends from SCAG Southwest coming, so it’ll be a good time no matter what we do! Our race car felt the same about this air as the fat kid driving it. We just could not get on the other side of it. As it cooled off the air didn't necessarily get better, the water grains skyrocketed and we just missed it. So, now we’ve got a good baseline for some wet weather and we can tune it up tomorrow and try to be in that low 3.90s range before the weekend is over. Our first run today laid right on top of the 3.93s that we ran earlier this year, so we knew we just barely missed that. We came up here for Q2 really excited because we knew we had a good car for the dynamite nighttime conditions here in Sonoma. I had a pretty good idea it was destiny after that little girl brought me to tears singing the national anthem. I finally got my eyes dry enough to put my helmet on, told my boys we’re out for blood, and it turned out we got it. A lot of people I don't get to mention too often are out this way, LT Oil, Mac Tools, Rottler, felt good to run good out here in front of everybody. We needed that run. This program means a lot to me because it’s about more than racing, it reminds you that there’s something bigger than going rounds on Sunday. Our ol’ SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang is starting to listen again. The first run we thought it’d go a high 4.0 and it put a hole out about half track. You saw the results, so we figured we could tune on that a little bit and go in the mid/high 4.0’s, which would have been a phenomenal run for that racetrack today with the heat. We actually had a major parts failure that could have been a disaster, so all y'all that have been praying for us, it's working. Thank you.
