It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.

Complicity in Slaughter: Outrage Explodes as Reports Link Musk and Trump to Ukraine Drone Shield Crippling Demands are rapidly intensifying for Donald Trump and far-right disinformation propagandist Elon Musk to face international war crimes charges following a catastrophic disruption to Ukraine's frontline defenses. A devastating exposé by The Telegraph, citing four anonymous sources, reveals a shocking level of complicity: it was Elon Musk who personally approached Donald Trump with the proposal to throttle Starshield — the military-grade version of his Starlink satellite network. Trump reportedly agreed to the scheme. By deliberately crippling Ukraine's drone defense systems, this calculated move effectively disabled the country's shield against Russian aggression. The sabotage directly allowed Vladimir Putin's forces to rain lethal drone strikes down upon undefended cities, resulting in the brutal slaughter of innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children. Critics and legal experts argue that by actively interfering with military infrastructure to benefit an invading, authoritarian Apparatchik force, both figures have crossed the line from political interference into direct complicity in war crimes.

Ilhan Omar came to this country at 12 after escaping Somalian civil war and living in a Kenyan refugee camp for four years and became a sitting U.S. Congresswoman. Melania Trump came to U.S.A. at 26 to pursue her ‘modeling career’ and the only she ever sat was….oh, never mind.🍄‍🟫

If the Trump Administration was involved in the decision to restrict Ukraine’s Starlink access as Musk claims, it would represent a heinous act of betrayal to our ally & fellow democracy under assault by a despot. This shameful act must be reversed to ensure this war ends with a Ukrainian victory. hoyer.house.gov/media/press-…

Try to keep in mind, if Trump actually had a case against Omar, he would have started the proceedings a long time ago. But he waited until right before midterms to influence the election. But MAGA, being the dumbest people on Earth, will never realize this.

No matter what your politics, this is terrifying. When a regime targets its elected opponents with stripping of citizenship and deportation, we all must say hell no and remove the regime from power.
BREAKING WSJ: The Trump admin's investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar is aimed at building a case to strip her of her U.S. citizenship and ultimately deport her, according to U.S. officials and other people familiar with the probe. wsj.com/politics/policy/ilha…

Thank you to everyone who stood with me over the years. It’s been a scary journey but I have always been grounded in my work and ability to provide exemplary service to my constituents. Trump and his administration have been after me since I arrived in Congress. I have always stood up to him and that will never change. The pedophile protector will never silence me.
BREAKING WaPo: Trump officials scrutinized Rep. Ilhan Omar in 2019. They didn't find citizenship issues.
The earlier review of Omar's immigration records looked at many of the same issues being investigated now. washingtonpost.com/national-…

Omg you guys, it's true. Ilhan Omar came here on a student visa, then quit school and just started working. Total immigration fraud, blatant. Oh wait, that wasn't Ilhan, that was Elon.

The Somali community in Minneapolis unleashed fury at President Trump after HSI agents raided Rep. Ilhan Omar's Washington, D.C. home Monday as part of an immigration probe. Trump started the war that made oil prices go higher!!
Trump: I want Zelensky to stop. I want Putin— If you tell me that Zelensky is again shooting at refineries, all he’s doing is making oil prices higher… I watched an interview of a young woman the other day from Ukraine. And she said, “President Zelensky has destroyed our country. President Zelensky has taken our men away from us.”

This is just plain wrong! @WSJ
WSJ is reporting that the Trump regime is investigating Rep. Ilhan Omar to build a case to strip her of US citizenship, forcibly remove her from office, & deport her. Please understand how dangerous and catastrophic this is. It’s already fascism that he’s trying to do this. If he succeeds, then precedent is set & literally no one is safe. Anyone who criticizes him, anyone who doesn’t pay homage to him, anyone not straight white male born US citizen lands on the chopping block. Fascism Is Here.

This is about Ilhan Omar. But it's also about control, intimidation, & authoritarianism. The message is: we can do this to a member of Congress; no foreign-born American is safe. The administration is using fear as a tactic to discourage people from voicing opposition.

Putin supplies Iran with satellite intelligence. Iran uses that satellite intelligence to destroy all our bases and kill our service members in the Middle East. Trump then buys Putin’s diesel which is not physically available, but pays him money anyway. So, if you connect the dots, trump pays Putin to help Iran kill our service members. In my book, that is treason.
