“You want to talk to m e about potentially being a bad mother? I let my son get thrown out of Olympus, didn’t treat Athena like my daughter, Ares didn’t have a good relationship role model, Hebe is stressed beyond comprehension, and Eris h a t e s me.”

“I’ve heard tell that somebody wants his golden traitor… Hmm… Not if I can help it.”

“She’s rude, mean, toxic, and a really shitty friend. Don’t listen to a word she says. I, for one, am very happy for you. Congratulations, Minthe.”

Her face turned to one of concern and bitterness. “What did she do to you? What did she say?”

Hera smiled softly. “Listen… I will not judge you. You can be as candid as you like here. What made you go back to Thetis?”

“What on earth compelled you to do that, Minthe? You know she’s toxic. Come and sit with me. Let’s talk about it.”

I don’t think it’s childish. I feel the same way. I’ve been trying to come up with one for you. I like the idea of having special little names for one another.

My shimmering god worries too much. I wish I could ease his mind more than I do. He’s sweet and kind, but so very stressed.
