Myth: “I need to wait X amount of time before filing a missing person report.”
#Dementia and #Alzheimers affect many of our elderly #AAPI members. When they go missing or wander off, it can be a harrowing experience getting them back home.
3. When you contact first responders, you should have some information handy: identification information, most recent photo, medical/mental conditions, time/heading last seen, and locations frequented.
4. Have a tracking or identification tool, such as an Alzheimer’s bracelet or Airtag necklace, can be incredibly useful to get your missing loved ones home. Golden Voice Society funds these bracelets with our “Missing Grandma Project.”#GoldenVoiceSociety #MissingGrandmaProject

Many burglaries in our communities are committed by simply bolt cutting the shackle to gain entry. We should all strive to make it a little harder for criminals to target our businesses.

GVS Trailblazers Spotlight: Cecilia Chung is an advocate for LGBT rights, HIV/AIDS awareness, health, and social justice 🙌 She has dedicated much of her life to activism, especially for health issues impacting the LGBT community.

From one of our Founders: Attending Jasper Wu’s funeral was one of the most heart breaking moments of my life. I’ve seen violence and death, but the stillness of little Jasper resting in his coffin pierced my soul like nothing has before nor since.
This may be just the start of a long fight for Justice for Jasper due to the incoming Alameda County DA, Pamela Price, taking over prosecution later on.
