One of my friends brought me a small gift from his recent trip to Japan - Exia from the Mobile Suit Ensemble gashapon line. Quite detailed for such a small cute figure, though backpack and legs are a bit too lose and tend to pop off during posing.

There were already a few funny nods to Curse of the Moon in the Gunvolt series, but this line in GX Mode is probably the most direct one, as it basically confirms that the samurai GV met in the past was indeed Zangetsu.

Zero assembled! Fantastic model kit! Super easy to put together (you don't even need nippers - similar to Bandai's LBX line, the parts pop out from the runners under slight pressure), with perfect color accuracy and quite a few pre-painted parts. The poseability is superb too.

I had a lot of fun posing him and attempting to recreate various promotional pics and in-game artwork. You can even put him into stasis lock from the beginning of the first game or recreate a dashing pose through clever use of the included base. Also, a bonus photo with Iris

My only complaint is that the nub marks are quite noticeable on the gold parts. Even if you sand them down, you'll still have to paint the gray spots over with gold paint. But that's an easy fix.

Took him quite a while to arrive due to all the delays, but he is finally here! Very excited to build him!! Zero is one of my most favorite fictional characters, and it'll also be my first Blokees kit, so I'm very curious if they are as good as I've heard.

Marco Polo no Bouken #23 Polos arrive at their destination and prepare to meet the Kublai Khan. I love how Kawajiri effectively utilizes perspective with starkly contrasting lights and colors to give a proper sense of scale and grandeur to the climax of the first big story arc.

The audience at Kublai Khan's court is also an outstanding scene. Even before any words are spoken, you can feel just how powerful and intimidating a figure the Khan is, especially to young Marco, who faces him, a person of such huge authority, for the first time in his life.
