As we sunset the Maestro Developer API, we're opening up the infrastructure that powered it. Not the stripped-down version. The real thing.
What we're releasing isn't another Cardano indexer or another Bitcoin indexer. It's a generalized UTXO indexing framework, purpose-built and highly optimized for UTXO-based chains like Bitcoin, Cardano, and Dogecoin.
It's also battle-tested, having handled billions of requests across hundreds of projects in production. We're not open-sourcing a prototype. We're open-sourcing the real infrastructure behind Maestro.
Over the next three weeks, we're releasing the production-grade implementations as fresh repos, in this order:
โ๏ธBitcoin
โ๏ธCardano
โ๏ธDogecoin
No exact dates locked in yet, but all three will land before the Sept. 18 cutoff.
We're open-sourcing it without asking for Catalyst funding. We're doing it because it's the right thing for the ecosystem we helped build.
If you're migrating off our API, you'll have real, production-grade infrastructure to self-host, modify, and build on.
We'll share each repo as it drops.

Weโll be in NYC next week for Bitcoin Treasuries.
If you run a treasury, allocate BTC, or finance miners, letโs get coffee. Most of the useful conversations at these things happen off the floor.
DM and weโll find a time.

The โghost companyโ idea is where this gets really interesting.
We're in the "awkward" phase of AI, where agents are smart enough to make you lazy but dumb enough to turn an organization into a vibe-coding zombie if humans don't actively manage it.
What will happen when AIs become smarter than any manager/executives? I forecast self-sustaining AI "ghost companies" producing goods and services and competing against human-led companies

Today, the Maestro Developer API sunsets.
To everyone who built with our Data API, trusted us, challenged us, and joined us on this journey: thank you. We don't take that lightly.
Now we're solely focused on Maestro Institutional.
Where we offer institutional-grade financial instruments for Bitcoiners: BTC yield vaults, Miner ASIC financing, and delta-neutral hedging.
Bitcoin Capital Markets for the real world. ๐ข

It's matching the debt to the asset being produced.
BTC in. BTC out.
That's what Mezzamine is built around.
BTC-backed USD loans are a horrible idea!
Stop lending dollars against Bitcoin.
To compound Bitcoin, lend Bitcoin.
In a bull:
- USD lenders miss the Bitcoin appreciation
- BTC lenders compound the appreciation plus the interest
In a bear:
- The USD borrower's collateral falls, risking BTC liquidation
- The BTC borrower isn't exposed to margin calls
That is Mezzamine credit: Bitcoin lent to miners, paid back in Bitcoin.
2 days.
The Maestro Developer API sunset begins Sept. 18.
If you're still building on Maestro APIs, now is the time to make your migration plans.
Don't wait until the endpoints go dark.

Our API services will shut down on Sept 18, 2026, across Bitcoin, Cardano, and Dogecoin.
Maestro will focus on Maestro Institutional and Mezzamine, our institutional BTC yield and mining credit products.
Until Sep 18, everything keeps running as normal. After that, all endpoints will be retired.

โข Bitcoin: already open source today:
github.com/maestro-org/maestโฆ
โข Cardano & Dogecoin: will be open-sourced in the coming months. In the meantime, alternative providers such as @blockfrost_io are available for Cardano.
Thank you to the incredible community of builders and entrepreneurs who built with Maestro and joined us on this journey; we don't take that lightly.

Please share this.
This is the production stack that ran our Cardano Developer API.
Not a prototype. Not a cut-down public fork. The same infrastructure, now public.
Built for UTXO chains. Proven in production across billions of requests and hundreds of projects.
Apache 2.0. Self-host it, change it, build on it. Link in the comments.

Weโve been busy.
Over the past few weeks, weโve launched:
-A new Mezzamine website
-Full Mezzamine documentation
-A new FAQ answering the questions allocators ask most
-A refreshed Maestro Institutional experience
All built around the same goal: making Bitcoin capital markets easier to understand, access, and underwrite.
Links below ๐
Mining secures Bitcoin. Bitcoin should finance mining.
We published the full Mezzamine docs: how the facilities work, what collateralizes them, how the hedges hold, and how yield is paid. In BTC, end to end.
Built to be underwritten.
