It was a beautiful evening of music, compassion and celebration on the final night of Navratri in Rishikesh. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for the Sacred Music for Sacred Forest concert with Nina Rao, in support of India’s forests and wild tigers.

In Glasgow, Scotland, cold and rain can make an already difficult day harder. For people facing homelessness or struggling to make ends meet, the choice between buying food and keeping warm can become a daily worry.

For years, our volunteers have shown up week after week, bringing fresh fruit and food packages to people in the community. Over time, familiar faces return to our distributions, knowing they will find food, a friendly face and people who care.

No one should have to face hunger alone. To every volunteer who braves the weather and every supporter who makes these distributions possible, thank you. Your continued support helps make life a little easier for people who need it most.

Because of you, someone who might have gone hungry receives a meal, a family facing a crisis finds support, and a community affected by disaster knows it has not been forgotten.

Hunger is a challenge none of us can overcome alone. But when we come together with compassion and a willingness to help, we can make a real difference. This World Food Day, we thank each one of you for being the reason someone has a meal today.

When disaster strikes anywhere in the world, our teams and volunteers work on the ground to provide food, water, hygiene and medicine kits, clothing, temporary shelters and other essentials to those affected.

None of us knows how much time we have on earth, but we can choose what we do with it. A little kindness, a meal shared with someone in need, or showing up for someone going through a difficult time. These things may seem small, but they can mean a great deal to someone else.
