McKinsey (and others) don't want you to know the rates they charge for junior consultants. But there's one place they have to share them - the government’s RFP system, called the GSA Schedule. The rates are 🤯!

On @GoCatalant $300 / hr gets you someone with 20 years experience, maybe some consulting firm experience, and definitely real, in-seat operating experience. That's equal to or less than people at large firms with basically no real experience.
And the craziest thing - YOU CAN’T JUST BUY ONE OF THOSE CONSULTANTS FROM MCKINSEY - YOU NEED TO BUY A WHOLE TEAM OF THEM!! This isn't a knock against the people at those firms - they're smart and I know lots of really impressive people there - it's a knock on a model that isn't providing value anywhere near the cost.
