I mean Mike, I think it’s pretty reasonable for people to hold a grudge against Insider Gaming for being at fault for arguably the largest piece of GTA 6 misinformation over the summer. The response from the writer was embarrassing too. Outside of that situation, I recall MANY misleading headlines/nothing burger articles from you guys about this game: This first one is an entire article about regular stock fluctuations which the leaks had zero effect on. The title is entirely incorrect and clearly meant to come across as dramatic, LITERALLY the definition of being inflammatory for clicks. This second story was debunked as simply a placeholder BEFORE the article even went live. It wouldve taken like five minutes maximum to verify if it had any legitimacy, yet IG still put it out, and I remember it stoking the flames regarding the Netflix deal. This third article is once again, a complete nothing burger story, with a headline that’s meant to bait people who don’t know any better. So much so that it needed a community note. Surely you’re starting to see how this isn’t a good look? One more that I recall was this again, completely pointless article about an inspect element image. Why would anybody bother taking Insider Gaming seriously when you have headlines like this that even entertain the possibility of a 600gb file size - months before launch may I add? What do you mean “likely” fake? Why bother writing it like that? To stoke the flames just a little bit of course, even if it’s obviously a nothing burger. Overall I think Insider Gaming is far from the worst outlet there is, but come on. Just take a look through some of your stories/headlines and tell me with a straight face that you have no idea why you’ve now gained a reputation for frequent inflammatory drivel.
