Statement from President Wingard and Provost Mandel regarding the recent human rights violations in Iran.
The human rights violations that are occurring in Iran are beyond comprehension. They are unacceptable, and Temple University supports all who are fighting against oppression. We stand in support of Iranian women and everyone who is joining them in the fight for justice. We stand for equality. We stand for peace. To members of our Iranian community, please know that we are here for you. We encourage you to contact International Student Affairs or Tuttleman Counseling Services for support. Our thoughts are with those most affected by these tragedies as we hope for a peaceful resolution and an end to this conflict. - President Jason Wingard and Provost Gregory N. Mandel

I really wish this column had been written by someone who has spent significant time covering the Phillies. The issues he mentions here don't really speak to what I and others see as fans on a daily basis.
