#Hyperstagflation...
Inflation in necessities like food and energy
Deflation in stocks, bonds, and real estate
The meltdown in the US is nothing compared to that in Canada... RENT!!! You'll be able to buy at far lower prices in the years ahead imho.

Can metals and miners go higher as the 10Y yield keeps rising?
Yes, if inflation goes up faster than yields, because then real yields fall.
TIPS are the anthesis of real yields.
Lower real yields/ higher TIPS is positive for metals.
Vice-versa for higher real yields/ lower TIPS which signaled the peak in Gold and Silver on Jan 29.
TIPS are attempting to rally...
This can't go on forever, it's only a matter of time. Note the similarity to Gold. #TIPS
10Y yield now at highest level since "2007". It has broken the critical 5% threshold. Mortgage rates rising means less buying, more selling.
For what it's worth, I've been saying that when hyper-stagflation kicks in, the prices of assets will collapse (real estate, stocks, bonds, pensions), whereas the prices for necessities such as food and energy will skyrocket. Deflation and inflation at the same time. Just my 2 cents.
Real Estate Update in sought-after Oro-Medonte Ontario Canada...
In just the past 3 months we've seen price drops of 10-20%.
On average just 1/10 has been sold, with the rest sitting on market for 180 days or more.
A few buyers chase deals, but it's too early, it's going to get much worse imho as yields (mortgage rates) go higher.
The proverbial has hit the fan...
As I've been warning for the past 2 years, real estate is in deep trouble as mortgage rates soar.
Stocks won't like this either.
As for precious metals and miners, they are going down now while central banks raise rates. But that won't cap bond yields, so expect a return to QE, i.e. printing (debasing) currencies. We've seen this before, many times, so expect precious metals and miners to rally while all else head south. Down first, then C-ya time!

Inflation hasn't gone anywhere. Yields keep threatening the 5% line in the sand. The Fed can't raise rates on ~115 trillion in debt. This won't have a happy ending imho.
My interpretation of what the Fed is doing now...
Trying stop global contagion, fiscal collapse
