WidgetPack has been approved for TestFlight! Sign up right here: testflight.apple.com/join/gt… It’s still super rough around the edges and documentation is non-existent, so you’ll have to figure stuff out yourself by looking at the examples. I made a little video to get you started.

I realized that my ambitions for widgets are way too big to just add to GizmoPack, so meet @WidgetPackApp ! It will allow you to create fully custom widgets with Shortcuts. TestFlight soon!

Some progress on user-defined widgets. With just a few UI elements you can already do cool things! And with iOS 14 automations you can make it refresh daily.

The main thing I need to figure out how to expose this functionality. Maybe some easy to use templates like text list, photo, small images + text. Or just make all the options of SwiftUI available in shortcuts? 😄

Just watched developer.apple.com/videos/p… and really pleased with the new capabilities for Siri Shortcuts extensions. In-app handling makes a bunch of stuff possible or just easier!

Version 1.5.0 is out—it adds a Parse Date action which allows you to parse with a custom format. And I forgot to tweet about version 1.4.0, which adds 'Overwrite File'.

Version 1.3.0 is now in the App Store, which adds the 'Encode Property List' action. It makes it easy to create shortcuts that inspect .shortcut files, and a merging example is included

Huh? I'm able to import shortcut files on iOS 13? I thought they removed that option 😛

Some people have let me know the alternate icon doesn't work on iPadOS–a fix is making its way through App Store review right now.
