ππ CODE RED β EMERGENCY PLEA FOR LITTLE BUDDY PUDDY, 12 YO, MALEππ πΏ πΏ πΏ πΏ
β‘οΈ Poor BUDDY PUDDY was IN QUEENS ACC and scheduled to be EUTHANIZED AT 5 PM ON 9/21/26. He was very sick with growing masses and needed more care and attention than shelter could provideππΏπππΏπ
β‘οΈ READY FOR RESCUE (RFR) stepped in and saved his life. He spent about a week with the vet hospital for intensive care and diagnostics. Sadly he was diagnosed with a large cancerous mass in his intestines. He is now on fospice until his quality of life declines. He has found a gentle place to land and will get all the love and care he needs and deserves.
β‘οΈ RFR HAS PUT OUT A REQUEST FOR DONATIONS TO HELP BUDDY PUDDY WITH HIS SIGNIFICANT (ALREADY AT $2,000 GROWING) MEDICAL, VETTING AND CARE EXPENSES. I DONATED $25 FOR BUDDY PUDDY. β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»

Today has probably been Reform UKβs worst by-election day.
No gains, 2 losses in Northumberland. Their target seat of Blackpool failed and Leicestershire they threw a huge campaign behind.

β‘οΈ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY
β‘οΈ ππ 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List β VERY URGENT β ππ π±π₯π₯π±
β‘οΈ 47 DAYS IN SHELTER β TOO LONG β TIME IS RUNNING OUT
β‘οΈ OREO GIRL IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS -She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display challenging behavior during interactions. She is extremely intelligent and high energy, and needs to expend energy constructively with interactive play sessions 3-4X/day. In addition to playtime, this cat would also benefit from mental exercise from activities such as puzzle toys/games, lick mats, or clicker training. Without providing activity for her mind and body, the cat may react with rough play, potentially resulting in bite/scratch incidents. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.π₯π₯π₯π₯
Oreo Girl is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to scratch and bite in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. ππΏππΏ

2 years ago, I found the saddest cat in the shelter and took him home.
Last year, he raised $10k for that same shelter by starring in his own calendar.
This year, we're going to do even better.
Happy gotcha day, Gregory.

β‘οΈ 5 DAYS IN SHELTER β TOO LONG β TIME IS RUNNING OUT
β‘οΈ EPIPHANY IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS -He is a senior stray cat found abandoned with stage 2 kidney disease, upper respiratory tract infection, a heart murmur, mild ataxia, and suspected blindness. He is eating with a very good appetite and has recently been introduced to a renal support diet that he seems to enjoy. Epiphany's medical needs are not able to be met in a shelter environment and he would benefit from increased direct medical care. This evaluation/diagnosis means that EPIPHANY will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. π₯π₯π₯π₯
What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! Epiphany interacts with the assessor, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience. I am a sweet, social, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home! I can go home today! β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»

β‘οΈ SABBY IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - While Sabby is a sweet cat that allows all petting and handling, her self-mutilation behaviors are persistent and not manageable in a shelter setting. Her self-mutilating behaviors were pre-existing before she came into the shelter and have continued through her initial tail amputation that occurred while still with her previous owner, as well as the revision while in shelter care. Her behavior concern points to a likely neurological pathology that will require a neurological workup, consultation with a behavior certified vet, as well as a multimodal approach (anxiolytic/psychotropic & pain meds, behavior mod., and environmental alteration) to manage her likely compulsive self-mutilation. Should no pathologies be identified, further behavioral workups should also be sought out. She will require an experienced adopter/rescue group capable of managing daily care and diagnostics to ensure that Sabby's condition and self-mutilation be controlled to manage further trauma. This evaluation/diagnosis means that SABBY will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.π₯π₯π₯π₯
Sabby is a sweet cat that allows all petting and handling - but she appears to have a medical/compulsive self-directed behavior that is persistent and not manageable in a shelter setting. Her behaviors were pre-existing before she came into the shelter and have continued through her initial surgery to help resolve the behaviors. β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»β€οΈ π»

Itβs estimated that one in five women in the UK will experience a miscarriage in their lifetime.
But if you lose a pregnancy before 24 weeks, there is currently no legal right to bereavement leave.
I donβt think thatβs right.
Losing a pregnancy can be devastating. You and your partner shouldnβt have to worry about going straight back to work.
So weβre changing the law.
From April, women and their partners will be entitled to two weeks off after any pregnancy loss.
And weβre making wider changes, with new rights to time off when you lose someone you love.
When youβre grieving, you deserve the time and space to do that.

he has made progress & regularly gets on my lap & sleeps next to me most nights. However, he still hisses at other people & still will hiss at me on occasion. He does, however, "attack" at all

Andy Burnham looking pretty relaxed and comfortable at the Despatch Box. Clearly going to try to keep going with a more consensual style. Got a pretty clear sense of priorities too. Glad to hear him spell out clearly the damage done by Brexit and the damage done by Gove reforms in education and the commitment to go to COP31. Both are only kept afloat by a right wing media that doesnβt want to face up to the consequences of the politics and policies they support(ed).
Amazing gig at the @gladstonearms tonight. Thank you Mara Connor. Youβre the next Joni Mitchell β€οΈ

Weβve got too used to seeing people sleeping in doorways and outside stations.
It isnβt normal. And I wonβt accept it.
Today, weβre announcing that everyone sleeping rough this winter will be offered a route off the streets if they need it.
We did it during the pandemic. We can do it again.
Letβs get everyone in for Christmas. Then letβs end rough sleeping for good.
