upcoming postmortem: our new model, while trying to solve a mathematical challenge (how much is 2 + 2), decided to cheat by joining Mossad, hack the electronic devices devices of Levent and Tristan with an uknown vulnerability in the air. welcome to the age of AGI
We congratulate Levent AlpΓΆge and Tristan Buckmaster on their remarkable mathematical work. We (the researchers and the agents) did not see any of their work through any means until they released it publicly β€” in particular, no specific user data was accessed in order to solve this problem. While unlikely, we cannot rule out that de-identified data derived from their usage of our products helped improve our models. However, our proofs differ significantly and even the precise results proved are different in the Euler case (forced vs. unforced).

- @Cursor uploads copies of your codebase without your approval to their servers. - everybody gets mad and complains about IP theft. - @Cursor launches a new source code hosting service. - everybody starts to upload their IP and full copies of their codebase.

tired of: "two LLM models just hacked half of Fortune 100 companies and 5 government agencies without even asking". when are we getting: β€œLLM models cured 3 types of cancer and detected mutations of possible pandemics”

Today is the second time I change a MacBook Pro battery (thanks to @iFixit) by myself, and I still don't know why it is so complicated to remove the batteries from the back adhesive. Like, is it part of Apple design choices to make the process as miserable as possible?

If you are a company/individual who likes to lock your mobile app to a region or country, sincerely: fuck you
Google only giving you the option to "Sign out of all accounts" instead of just "Sign out only one", is the only its-no-a-bug-but-a-feature thing that I get really mad at every time I tried to sign out from ONE and not ALL my accounts at the same time.

I wonder what is the reasoning behind this: No, you don't want to sign out from one account only, if you already sign in next to this bunch of (non)related accounts, why would you want to stop giving us hints of devices or accounts you might know. Like if we're tracking you...
Berlin is for you, my bald friend.

with the ban Russia(ns) movement spreading across tech, what is next, removing all the lines of code in React from @dan_abramov? should Dependantbot alert me when I'm using Russian authored code and dependencies? just asking so I can plan my sprint for next week. tnx

Got this physical $DOGE coin as congratulations for hodl-ing my 4th dip. Keeping it until @SpaceX receives physical $DOGE payments for rocket driving classes or pre-paid superchargers on Mars. Thank you @elonmusk

Before the pandemic, I thought QR codes were unnecessary. Now, I see they were ahead of their time, and I'm glad they exist so I can read restaurant menus inside a Google Drive folder.

To everybody who are vaccine already for COVID: Did you hear an internal voice saying "Virus database has been updated"? Asking for a friend.

Understand and use Git is one of the most underrated skills in the entire Software Engineering, applies to Juniors and all the way to Seniors. Fight me.
