Always be open to #innovation. The chocolate chip cookie was actually a mistake. When Ruth Wakefield tried to make chocolate cookies but ran out of baker's chocolate, she substituted with small pieces of semi-sweetened chocolate. Instead of melting, the chunks remained intact.
