Delighted to say that I've been awarded a scholarship for my PhD at @EdinUniLEL for 2021 with @mikeramsammy! Can't wait to get started working with some fantastic linguists & looking at more under-researched Spanish varieties. Afro-Mexican Spanish, it's your time to shine🌟

Fieldwork is coming to an end, and it's been a wild ride. Here are some things I've learnt as a solo female fieldworker:

This is of course just based on my own experience, and every fieldworker and fieldwork trip is different. But these are just some things that struck me on my most recent trip when I realised that there was so little for solo female fieldworkers. (10/11)
