Been coaching these 16u tournaments for a month now. Never seen so many F-8’s as I’m seeing now. Keep teaching these 130 pound hitters to “hit the ball in the air” . We pitchers THANK YOU! 😊

“You put pressure on yourself when you’re focused on the outcome, not the process. Focus on what it takes to win, and enjoy winning, that’s what I’m talking about…not the pressure to win, not the outcome. Focus on the Process.”

HITTERS: If you’re in the cage and someone asks you what you’re working on and you hesitate in your response, you’re wasting time in the cage.
Have a purpose for everything you do.
Your purpose provides your consistency.

Derek Jeter asked Bruce Bochy after a World Series Championship. “How come everybody that comes up here doesn’t talk about themselves? All they care about is the team and all they want is to win for their team? How is that?”
Bochy: that’s how you win.

'Pressure is something that you feel only when you don't know what you're doing.'
I never left the field saying I could've done more to prepare myself for that game.
Are you doing everything you can to help the people around you?"

HS Pitchers: Are You Only Doing the Easy? Or are you working?
-All you’re doing is throwing/tubing/pitching in games = EASY
-Taking a “break from throwing” but you’re not getting stronger/lifting/gaining weight. = EASY
-Throw same/slower last year’s Top Velo = EASY
-Carrying around food to make sure you gain weight = HARD
-Have someone holding you accountable = HARD
-Not doing what everyone else is doing = HARD
-Choosing a path that not everyone else gets to take = HARD

Kids go in a cage facing 85mph on a machine, get blown away & then slow it down so they can hit it.
I’ve seen a pro face 102mph from 40 ft away, absolutely mashing.
You think he just started doing that one day & was like, “Yeah, I got this.”
Get comfortable being challenged.

Most people over value TALENT & undervalue DISCIPLINE ‼️
I promise you that your TALENT won't be enough. There's always going to be bigger, stronger, faster & BETTER athletes than YOU
How will you separate?
Through hard work, adversity & DISCIPLINE 💯
