Summer is coming

Fez is not a city you visit. It’s a city… gilalter.com/admin/fez-is-no…

“Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself?” – Lao Tzu There are moments when you’re not trying to be anything — and yet you become tolerant like a tree, disinterested like a monk, amused like a child, kind like a grandmother, dignified like a king. These moments aren’t effort. They’re arrival. Stay still long enough, and they show up on their own.

In a way, what you permit - especially in how people close to you treat you - is what you endorse. Think about that. When you’re busy pleasing others, pause and ask: Am I doing this out of love… or out of fear? Because often, that urge to please isn’t kindness - It’s a nervous system stuck in survival mode, shaped by constant pain it’s learned to expect.

But the longer you stay quiet, the heavier it gets. The more you hold in, the more it owns you.

Pause all the feeds, shut down the phone, Close every tab, sign out, be alone. No more pings, no blinking lights, Just silence pressing in too tight. By day, I scroll, I post, I play, Keep the world’s noise loud, keep grief at bay. But when the screens go dark at last, The past seeps in, too deep, too vast. Grief is patient, it waits for the hush, Slipping through cracks in the midnight rush. No alerts, no calls, no endless thread Just echoes of things left unsaid. For sorrow does not stream, does not refresh It lingers, offline, in the dark, in the flesh.
