Whenever people talk about the greatest footballers of all time, leave Messi out of the conversation. That guy is not human; he’s a scientific discovery! 😂
Just look at him when he plays. He looks physically weak, yet he’s incredibly strong on the inside. He doesn’t fall easily despite challenges from physically stronger players. You also hear people saying he doesn’t train as hard as other players, yet he continues to perform at an extraordinary level.
To me, Messi is a FIFA project, and I have serious questions about the advantages he may have had. I’m not saying he isn’t naturally gifted, but let me explain my argument.
Between the ages of 10 and 11, Messi was reportedly diagnosed with growth hormone deficiency (GHD), which led to the administration of somatropin, a synthetic human growth hormone, to support his growth.
However, somatropin does more than stimulate growth. Growth hormone can influence body composition, muscle mass, and metabolism. Its effects on strength, physical performance, and recovery depend on the individual and the circumstances of its use.
With that in mind, don’t you think it’s worth asking whether Messi’s treatment with somatropin could have had any impact on his football performance? For example, his ability to maintain balance while dribbling, withstand physical challenges, recover from injuries, and compete against physically stronger opponents?
I’m not saying Messi isn’t gifted. But considering the potential effects of somatropin, shouldn’t we at least discuss whether his medical treatment could have provided any physical advantages beyond helping him grow?
Now, let’s look at Nigerian athletes.
Blessing Okagbare received a 10-year suspension following anti-doping violations, which was later extended by another year. Divine Oduduru also received a six-year suspension in connection with an anti-doping case involving prohibited substances.
These cases raise questions about how antidoping rules are applied across different sports. Of course, every case must be judged on its own evidence and circumstances.
My question is this, Was Messi the shortest footballer on earth? Was Valbuena taller than Messi? If being short was the issue, plenty of other footballers were short, too.
If Messi’s use of somatropin was medically necessary to treat his growth hormone deficiency, I understand that. But does the medical purpose automatically mean there could not have been any other physiological effects?
I’m not claiming that somatropin automatically made Messi a cheat. However, I believe the potential performance-related effects of growth hormone deserve an honest discussion rather than having every question dismissed.
I acknowledge Messi’s talent, but I still have questions about the role his treatment may have played.
I’ll reserve my final comment. 🤐
No be every money you go put for good use. As you dey hustle, still try enjoy life small. Once in a while, carry one better, clean girl make she put breast for your head, pamper you small, make you forget the stress of hustling. 😂
