T Holiday speaks truth
Fourth-and-1 at midfield today. Fourth-and-2 in the fourth quarter. We got stopped both times, and Florida scored a touchdown after each one.
Coach Sark,
I played for Texas. I was a team captain and an All-American on the Forty Acres. I love this program, so writing this hurts. I'm only doing it because I think one thing is holding us back, and I'd rather say it to you straight than keep yelling at my TV.
Please hand the play sheet to someone else.
You've done a lot for this place. Two straight playoff semifinals and an SEC title game in our first year. Texas matters again because of you, and I'm grateful. I'm not calling for your job. Not even close.
But look at the big moments. Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, first-and-goal at the 1, and we walked away with nothing. Ohio State again last year, fourth-and-goal from inches, we stayed in a speed package and got stuffed. You said yourself you'd probably sub if you could do it over.
Last week against OU it was third-and-1 at our own 45 and we threw a little pass to the back that lost 2. Tied 24-24, two minutes left, fourth-and-2 at their 35, we sent out the kicker for a 53-yarder. Today you called the fourth-down run "not very good design."
I went back through the official play-by-play. In our two losses this year we converted 4 of 11 third and fourth downs with two yards or less to go.
That's not all on the line or the backs. Nobody is getting push right now. We're running for about 3.6 a carry. That's exactly why this offense needs a coach whose whole week is the offense. Your job never stops. Recruiting, the portal, NIL, a 100-plus man roster. That's a full-time job by itself.
History backs this up. The last head coach to win a national title calling his own offensive plays was Jimbo Fisher, in the 2013 season. No champion in the playoff era has done it. Ryan Day gave the calls to Chip Kelly in 2024 and won it all. You won a ring at Alabama calling plays for Coach Saban.
You already have Kyle Flood with the coordinator title. Let him call it, or bring in someone you trust. Then you get to be the head coach on fourth-and-1, seeing the whole field.
This is the school that ran the wishbone to titles in '69 and '70. Earl Campbell ran for 1,744 yards in '77. Ricky Williams left with 6,279. We know who we're supposed to be. And our defense is holding teams under 3 yards a carry. We can win with that.
After OU you said "not a chance" about giving up the calls. I'm asking you to think about it one more time. For the players.
Hook 'em.
Texas fans, if you agree, please repost and tag @CoachSark. #HookEm

Cowboys DT Quinnen Williams said after Dallas' 24-16 loss to the Buccaneers last Thursday he would have to watch the film and see where the Cowboys defense struggled in response to multiple questions from reporters. What'd he see when he watched the film back?
“I’m gonna keep that to myself.”
What was his message to his teammates in Dallas' defensive players only meeting on Monday?
“I’m gonna keep that to myself also.”
Does he believe players only meetings help?
“I believe they do.”
In what ways?
“I’m gonna keep that to myself.”

I am a loss to understand the logic employed with respect to blocking accounts whose message or commentary are offensive to me, not the least of the issue but the fact i am INUNDATED with reposts from accounts i have blocked and muted.
The following accounts are the ones i waste so much time noting and trying to ignore them to the point i cannot get to all the posts of the people i follow:
Eric Scharff
Andre Jackson
I am not asking you to change your policy but please
1. Help me understand why?
2. Do something/anything so that my stream does not show these fine account’s reposts??
This is the most annoying thing about X, period.
Thanks in advance
@Support will i be getting a response? It has been 3 weeks since you were asked a legitimate question about a legitimate concern.

Beginning early 2025 i kept asking myself why would a decades long coach and coordinator, who never once threw his name in the hat for a head coaching job all of a sudden wants to be the head coach of the most visible and valuable sports franchise there is?
He didn’t, Jerry went to him and convinced him that he could and should be his head coach.
What other explanation could there be?

BREAKING - KISS cofounder Gene Simmons says it is time for celebrities like Ben Stiller and Mark Ruffalo to “shut the f*ck up.”
“People work hard for a living, and they don’t want to be lectured by people who live in mansions and drive Rolls-Royces. It’s time to shut up.”

Thats my quarterback
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Tony Romo: “Tony is one of the most valued relationships that I have on a personal basis. I love him and I’m sorry that this has evolved this way this year because I enjoyed him so much in what he could bring to the NFL and, frankly, I was proud of him as a former Cowboy.
“Now, having said all of that, he’s just getting started. He really is. I say that with all sincerity. He’s just getting started. And he certainly has made some mistakes. I can’t look in my mirror without seeing what can happen when you experience mistakes. But he realizes that there’s an area of his life that he wants to do better in. That’s been said ad nauseam publicly. He’s got great opportunity ahead of him. I don’t know of anyone, period, that has a better future than Tony Romo. And I’m excited or him. He’s not only got great talent, but he’s a hell of a man.”

AUSTIN MAN who punched a woman in the head and injured her on Barton Hills was back in the neighborhood this weekend, harassing and terrorizing another woman
Christopher Lewis was pounding on another woman's car and denting it at 5:30 a.m. with her garage open and her kids asleep inside. She drove around the block before he attacked it again. She leaned on the horn until her husband woke up and shut him out of the garage.
Misdemeanor criminal mischief. Bond: $1,000.
A couple of years ago, he punched a woman to the ground in the same neighborhood and stood over her. She told police she didn't know if he was going to rape her or kill her. She got a concussion and took her a year to recover.
The day he was arrested for it, police also caught him with meth. DA Jose Garza's office rejected the felony case. The assault dragged on 18 months before he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor. Court records show his sentence was marked satisfied the next day.
In 2015 he skipped court on a drug case and the state eventually gave up collecting the forfeited bond. A 2016 theft case was declined. A 2021 trespass case was dismissed.

Ok, did you read the headline from the NY Post? Read it again & let it fully absorb and then read it again:
"Iran publishes propaganda letter urging US voters to punish Trump in midterm elections" -NY Post
It is not a good sign when the IRGC shifts from "Death to America" to "Vote Democratic." The IRGC is reportedly encouraging Americans to vote against the GOP in the midterms.
We have a Wartime Enemy ACTIVELY CAMPAIGNING FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!
Let that sink in... The leading sponsor of TERRORISM for the last 50 years is ENDORSING the Democrat Party because they KNOW that the Democrats will help save their TERRORIST REGIME.
Tell me again... How do you VOTE for THAT PARTY?!

Apparently he's not better than that because in the first 15 days of the season they admitted they took a team lightly, admitted poor communication, and totally fouled up play calling and time management.
"I hurt our chance to win that game and I'll be better. And I'm better than that. I'm better than I performed in the last 28 seconds."—-Brian Schottenheimer

I hate these kind of tweets because it suggests that we are all stupid and the HCs all know better.
Some of this is just Football 101.
We are allowed to call out bad coaching.
