It's flatly untrue to say we're living in a "hookup culture." People are having less sex now, not more. If people were having more sex, there wouldn't be vibrators for sale at CVS Whenever someone bemoans "hookup culture", it really sounds like sour grapes for "I can't find someone I like to date." If you want to date someone more traditional, then simply just do so; if you can't find that, then you need to work on yourself and why you're not attracting your desired type, instead of you just ranting on the internet The only actual real hookup culture would be something like a swingers group, which is a tiny de minimis group. A boyfriend and girlfriend having sex is not hookup culture. If an "I don't care much about sex" marriage and a swingers group are on opposite ends of a spectrum, then most people live in the middle. If you can't find someone in the middle who you like, that is a you problem, not a societal "hookup culture" problem
