Today's Substack article shares highlights from my book chapter on hentai in a more digestible format, instead of scrolling through numerous tweets. I also included in-text citations and all the references I used in the book. Happy reading!

Thank you for everything, Ovi. You are the greatest goal scorer ever.
Alex Ovechkin is one of the greatest players ever to play our game. But for Washington @Capitals fans, and for all of us who have had the privilege of watching him here in Washington, he is so much more than that.
For more than two decades, Alex has given our fans everything they could ask for: the goals, the records, the physicality, the passion, and an unmatched desire to win. He has made countless nights at @CapitalOneArena unforgettable. He brought Washington a Stanley Cup, and he helped create some of the most joyful and unifying moments this city has ever experienced in sports.
Alex helped turn the Washington region into a true hockey market, inspiring a new generation of young fans to fall in love with the sport and young players to pick up a stick. Across our community, you see the influence he has had on children, families, youth hockey programs, and the many people who now proudly call themselves Capitals fans.
What has always stood out to me is Alex’s connection with our fans. They have watched him grow from a young superstar into the face of this franchise, and they have been with him through every great moment. That relationship is rare. It is built on loyalty, shared memories, and the feeling that every time Alex steps on the ice, something special can happen.
It’s going to be a special and memorable final season, and I look forward to sharing the journey of @ovi8's final chapter with our fans.

We have never had more access to scientific information.
And somehow we’ve created a world where a scientist and a conspiracy theorist appear equally qualified in your feed.

The point of psychotherapy -
“If we take man as he is, we make him worse. But if we take him as he should be, we make him capable of becoming what he can be.”
Goethe, through Frankl, through me to you.
Frankl thought this is what humans need. If you ignore the will to meaning, people become dull and frustrated. But if you look for the "spark of search for meaning:, you "will elicit it from him". You make the person capable of becoming what they can be.

A new penguin species has been identified for the first time in more than 100 years.
Scientists identified Pygoscelis kerguelensis, a previously unknown gentoo penguin species living on the remote Kerguelen Islands in the Indian Ocean, about 1,200 miles north of Antarctica.

A good example of misinformation. Although it's true 90% of serotonin is made in the gut, this is for digestive regulation and is unable to cross the blood-brain barrier and plays no role in mood.
Further, recent research has questioned the role of serotonin in mood altogether. Either way, it is never as simple as saying a single neurotransmitter is the "happiness chemical".
Beware memes that "simplify" science.
