Most conversations about AI agents are still about deflection: fewer tickets, faster resolutions, lower cost per contact.
The more interesting conversation is about what happens after the ticket closes.
Nick Singh, our Head of Product at delight.ai, is speaking at our SF Tech Week by a16z event on Oct 8 about exactly that: AI agents that don't just resolve a conversation, they turn it into revenue.

Huntington Beach is the right place to find a little delight. 🌊🥥
The conversation at RetailClub AI Festival this year is about AI that goes beyond the pilot and connects directly to revenue. delight.ai is the customer-facing revenue AI agent built for exactly that. It remembers who each shopper is, uses commercial judgment to take the next best action, and follows through so more customers convert, spend more, and stay.
Visit the team at Booth 112 to see our agents in action and grab a fresh coconut while you're there.

When your AI agent is quietly wrong, who finds out first: you or your customer?
A leading Airline's chatbot invented a refund policy, and a tribunal held the airline to it. Cursor's support AI made up a login policy that never existed. Customer found the problem before the company did.
The fix isn't a smarter model. It's a system that catches itself.
On September 29, Kibeom Lee, our Head of AI/ML, walks through the Trust Stack: the four layers we use in production to let AI agents earn their autonomy. Observability, Control, Oversight, Self-Improvement. Each one depends on the layer below it.

The brands winning in everyday retail are turning every shopper interaction into a revenue moment. 🛒
delight.ai remembers each shopper's history, recognizes when they're ready to act, and follows through. Growing basket size, recovering demand before it's lost, and turning shoppers into loyal customers.
Josh Perkiel, Chris Day, Ali Chaichy, and Galen Pallas will be at Booth 706 at Groceryshop from September 22-25. Visit the team and see what this looks like in practice.

There's a new title showing up on job descriptions, and most hiring managers don't have a rubric for it yet.
We're spending an evening in San Francisco on Oct. 8, during SF TECH WEEK by a16z, unpacking it: the CX Engineer, the person turning support conversations into revenue, not just resolved tickets.

What if the best conversations at Engage Customer happen on the Thames? 🚤✨
Join us on October 7 from 6–8:30 PM for CX on the Thames — a private evening cruise bringing together a curated group of CX leaders after day one of event.
Step away from the show floor for an evening of great conversations, new connections, drinks and canapés, while taking in some of London’s most iconic landmarks from the Thames.

Saw a story going around on Reddit about someone getting bounced between bots and agents for hours over a bogus $80 fare adjustment. Struck a nerve, thousands of upvotes, hundreds of comments of people relating.

If your support flow feels more like damage control than a working system, that's worth fixing. Here's how we think about it → [delight.ai/demo-request]
The difference isn't whether AI is in the loop. It's whether it's built to close the case, or just built to sound like it's trying.
That's the exact failure mode AI-driven support is supposed to fix, not cause. If an agent can't resolve a billing dispute, it should escalate immediately, with the full conversation history attached.
The issue wasn't that AI was involved in support. It's that the AI couldn't actually resolve anything, just stalled with vague reassurances while looping the customer between agents.
Consumers don't blame the AI vendor. 83% blame your brand.
That finding sits at the center of the 2026 delight.ai Index, a survey of 1,000 U.S. consumers on AI-powered customer service. The overall trust score came back at 51 out of 100. Open door, narrow one.
Join delight.ai's Charles Studt (CMO) and LeighAnne Manwiller (PMM, and author of From AI Hype to AI Readiness) with Industry Dive tomorrow, September 09, 2026, 11 AM PT/ 2PM ET. We'll cover where consumers are ready for AI today, where they still want a person, and how memory, reversibility, and human oversight change what customers will let AI handle.
