What a milestone. Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Bob Gardner and Gardner Builders, the @GetConstTalking campaign has now raised $963,791 for construction’s mental health charities across the US, UK and Australia, and is closing in on its $1M target ✊ I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that's donated so far. While a number of large organisations and prominent leaders have made amazing contributions, the overwhelming number of small personal donations shows the incredible grassroots support there is for tackling this issue. These crucial funds are helping construction’s leading mental health charities around the world provide the vital support and resources our industry needs. If you’re able to, we’d love you to make a donation 👉 getconstructiontalking.org/d… Get Construction Talking was founded by myself, @TheB1M and @procoretech to raise awareness and drive action around mental health in construction, using the power of our two companies to lift up and shine a light on the important and urgent work happening in this area. We're looking forward to seeing everyone at Procore's Groundbreak 2026 in Orlando next week! Get Construction Talking is teaming up with the @theCIASP to run a very exciting coffee activation where we are hoping to take our fundraising total to $1M.

Please watch @Fred_Mills video which provides a great introduction to the new @BSI_UK guidance for #construction SMEs and sole traders 👇
I know from personal experience how hard it can be to talk about your mental health 🙏 It's why I am so pleased to see the British Standards Institution's (BSI) new practical resource pack and guide for talking about suicide in construction published today, and to have played a part in helping put it together alongside so many fantastic organisations and experts. The guide is available to download for free 👉 bsigroup.com/en-GB/insights-… Special thanks to BSI, @GetConstTalking, @TheB1M, @MatesInMind, @theCIOB, @CITB_UK, @MaceGroup, @cityoflondon #GetConstructionTalking #mentalhealth

I couldn’t be prouder of our Construction Mental Health Summit and am blown away by the support and feedback it received. What a turnout, what a venue and what an incredible set of conversations ✊ From labour voices to major contractors from the US and UK, leading clients, technology firms, universities, SMEs and the Construction Leadership Council, I am pleased that we were able to bring so many parts of the industry together under the Gherkin’s iconic glass roof for such an honest and frank discussion about this issue. Huge thank you to our amazing summit speakers and partners! I know how hard it can be to struggle with your mental health and wanted to use the power of what I had built with @TheB1M to help tackle construction’s mental health crisis — the biggest challenge facing the industry that I love. When I founded @GetConstTalking with @procoretech I had no idea we’d have this level of impact: almost $700,000 raised for charity, events across three continents and hundreds of organisations inspired to take action. It’s incredible, and speaks to the collective will there is worldwide to tackle this issue from the grassroots up. We all have a role to play and the worst thing you can do is nothing 👉 download our free Action Plan, learn to spot the signs that someone might be struggling, know where to point people to support, talk about it with your teams, normalise opening up and help lead the change we all want to see. #GetConstructionTalking

Thankful to my friend @SadiqKhan for his support in raising awareness of construction's mental health crisis and the @GetConstTalking initiative. It's so important for leaders to normalise conversations around mental health, and the Mayor is doing exactly that ✊

Thank you Get Construction Talking for all the support and advocacy you have provided!
Today we’re celebrating the relentlessly inspiring work of @MATESConstruct, the leading construction mental health charity across Australia and New Zealand 🙌 MATES is run by an amazing team. It provides suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and a 24/7 help line. Those in Australia can call 1300 642 111. The MATES program is based on the simple idea that suicide is everyone’s business. The team believes that if the building and construction industry in Australia is to improve the mental health and well-being of workers and reduce suicide, then it cannot be left to mental health professionals: everyone in the industry must play their part. You can learn more and access resources or support over at mates.org.au MATES in Construction is one of five leading construction mental health charities worldwide that’s partnering with and supported by the #GetConstructionTalking campaign. We’re highlighting the amazing work of each charity in turn as we countdown to World Mental Health Day and our Construction Mental Health Summit in London on October 10. The other charities are The Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention (US), Lighthouse (UK and Ireland), Mates in Mind (UK) and Construction Sport (UK).
