This past weekend, a group of us from CEMC/Cumberland Connect joined our neighbors at the annual Community CARES Walk, hosted by the Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome. We were proud to sponsor this year's event, which raises awareness and connects our neighbors with special needs to resources that support them. Thank you to the CADS organizers and volunteers! This truly is one of our favorite events of the year, and we were so glad to see everyone who came out.

20/10 is a Montgomery County mentorship program that gives young people in the juvenile court system an alternative to the traditional path, which could typically include time in a juvenile detention facility. Instead, they meet regularly with Austin Peay sociology and social work students who check in on how they're doing and help them plan for school and their futures. Yesterday, we were proud to present a $5,000 check to the 20/10 scholarship fund. The fund will help graduates of the program continue their education, whether that's college or trade school.
