The UN Global Emergency Fund #CERF supports rapid humanitarian response for conflict-affected communities in Northern 🇪🇹. This complements ongoing relief efforts by the 🇪🇹 Disaster Risk Management Commission in Tigray & Afar.
🇩🇪 remains a steadfast & reliable donor to the CERF.
Escalating hostilities and renewed insecurity are deepening the humanitarian crisis in northern Ethiopia.
I’ve allocated $8.5M from UN’s Global Emergency Fund CERF to help humanitarians move fast, with shelter, health and nutrition, protection, water and sanitation services.
Data safeguards protect the privacy, dignity and security of migrants and people in need.
Germany supports @IOM in strengthening global commitment to safer data practices and better coordination to protect people affected by crises around the world.

I had a very constructive meeting with #Germany’s @BMZ_Bund Minister Reem Alabali Radovan and State Secretary @NielsAnnen about the ongoing global health architecture reforms, as well as the @WHO reforms, #Ebola response in the #DRC, our work in Gaza and Sudan to deliver essential health services. I thanked the Minister for 🇩🇪's support for the Ebola response, for its continued leadership in global health, and strong partnership with WHO. #WHS2026
