Westlich von Hamburg hat sich eine Lücke in der Schauer-Linie gebildet, wo sich Rotation aufbaut. Hier gibt es auf jeden Fall wieder ein gewisses #Tornado-Potenzial!

I've never seen anything like it. Salta, Argentina, has just recorded its hottest night on record during the climatologically coldest time of the year. The minimum overnight temperature did not fall below 26°C (78.8°F), pulverizing the previous monthly record by 7°C.

All 36x automated outlooks for today's outbreak over France 🇫🇷⛈️. First signals emerged around #DAY7, with confidence locking in by #DAY3. Europe's complex orography and jagged coastlines mean usually shorter forecast lead times compared to the U.S. or South America. #wxtwitter

No words. Here is a peak at one of our most incredible drone flights around a #tornado to date near Tulliby Lake, AB. The odds were completely stacked against us on this one, but thanks to some determination to make the 18 hour drive up here pulling an all-nighter, and brilliant forecasting by Nelson Tucker we were able to see this beauty. This will likely be one of our last intercepts of the season, thank you so much to everyone for following along as we press on to properly measure tornadoes to push weather science forward! #stormchasing #nature #weather

looking at SOTY posts and it seems yall forgot what happened in Texas earlier this year
If you only chase to see a tornado, you are missing out on absolute amazing views like this as the storm leaves Shannon, TX and headed towards Jacksboro, TX.

There is one tornado scar that beats them all. It happened in Krasnoyarsk, Krai, USSR, sometime in the summer of 1965. Moving ESE through a forest, the scar of this titanic tornado alone was more than 2 MILES WIDE in some places, averaging 1.5 miles wide. 57.25963, 93.841115
