Here is our new story on how to image internal stresses with mechanophores out in @J_A_C_S.
Looking at how spiropyrans isomerise we can measure and localize internal stresses which can be surprizingly high in polymer glasses. Kudos to Richard Janissen for a great collaboration!

There is one island in our survey area which is struggling to recover - hampered by crown of thorn starfish (COTS). The other islands all have healthy populations of this beaut - the giant triton snail. An amazing natural ‘solution’ to a COT outbreak
