Not at the minute mate. I had a great meeting with the EDI lead at the time but they decided it wasn’t the right time as they have other stuff going on.
Workplace for the day. Big game between the @WashSpirit and @GothamFC. Following the Wednesday from a distance #swfc
Incredibly disappointing that one of the other fans groups at the club, has decided to complain to the club about this. Again, the in fighting between fans groups is a huge issue at this club and has been since I was a kid. How could this ever be considered a negative? Why can’t all the fan groups come together and get along? #SWFC @jakerowl1
..and on the sell out note. 🦉

Fairness in football
United are preparing a formal complaint to the relevant authorities about the appointment of Oliver Langford to oversee the Pompey game, after he added to a remarkable number of previous instances where he’s hurt the Blades with decisions

We’re gonna give a position onto the board for someone we want. You don’t get a say in who that is.

IMO, an absolute waste of club resources & it's just adding extra work/paperwork that isn't needed at all. No fan should be on the board, paid or unpaid. There is so much wrong with this, where do you start! It's high level nonsense IMO! #swfc
Sheffield Wednesday is pleased to confirm the formation of its Fan Advisory Board and provide an update regarding fan representation on the club's board of directors.

I’ve never agreed with fan groups
Fan hierarchy is rife as it is
Rather the club just contacts registered supporters/ST holders in the database with any issues etc would make everyone feel more involved

ALT Huddersfield Town’s Ryan Ledson has been charged with misconduct following the EFL League One game against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 10 October. It’s alleged that the player used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official around the tunnel area at half time and after the final whistle. Ryan Ledson has until Friday 16 October to provide a response.
I never even named them 😂 #swfc

Oh do fuck off.
How about the fact we have a large and varied fan base and everyone deserves to speak.
Or are you scared of women and rainbows and think only fat middle aged men deserve to talk?
So point 3 is clearly wrong as by the @SWFCTrust statement, it’s a personal offer to Silverwood, not the trust.
Whole thing smells very fishy

Healthy debate online this morning, but there’s also been a few mistruths spread about the Trust, so hopefully the below clears a few things up.
1) No formal board offer has been made. Conversations have gone no further than what everybody saw discussed publicly on the video last night.
2) If any formal proposal was ever made, it would go to a membership vote on whether or not the Trust should accept. That is how all major decisions are made as a democratic community benefit society.
3) If members voted in favour, any representative would themselves be elected. Again, democratic and transparent.
4) The Trust would never accept remuneration for such a role. This would be an unpaid volunteer position which, frankly, could often be a thankless task.
5) So why do it if members feel it’s the right decision? Because that representative would gain visibility of the workings of the football club and be able to positively influence non-football, supporter matters. That is the pinnacle of fan engagement and would work alongside all fan groups being properly engaged through a structured supporter engagement model, far far better than anything we had before.
When I first joined the Trust, I wasn’t happy with what I felt was a lack of protest activity. So I joined, got involved and helped influence the direction we took.
That’s the whole point of a democratic supporters’ trust. Anybody can join, anybody can put ideas forward and everybody can have a say in the big decisions that are made.

I thought the trust’s position was going to be an elected position @jakerowl1? Now it’s a personal appointment to Silverwood? #SWFC
Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust Statement
The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters’ Trust welcomes today’s announcement that our Chair, James Silverwood, has been invited to join the Sheffield Wednesday Board of Directors in an unpaid, Non-Executive capacity.
The Trust Board is fully supportive of James, who has worked tirelessly on behalf of Wednesday supporters throughout one of the most challenging periods in the Club’s history.
Whilst the invitation has been extended to James in an individual capacity, the Trust Board has already unanimously identified James as the person we would wish to see take up such an opportunity.
Despite the invitation being personal to him, James has been clear from the outset that he would not wish to proceed without first consulting the Trust’s membership.
We believe this demonstrates his commitment to the democratic principles upon which the Trust is built and his determination to ensure supporters remain at the heart of everything we do.
The Trust will therefore put the proposal to its members for a formal vote, allowing them to determine whether they support James accepting the invitation.
Alongside this development, the Trust will also have representation on the Club’s Fan Advisory Board (FAB), providing a formal platform through which we can raise issues, contribute to discussions and represent the views and interests of our membership directly with the Club.
Together, these developments represent a significant opportunity to strengthen communication, improve transparency and build a closer working relationship between the Club and its supporters.
We welcome the Club’s commitment to meaningful supporter engagement and thank the ownership for recognising the importance of involving supporters in the future of Sheffield Wednesday.
We look forward to building on this positive relationship and playing our part in moving the Club forward.
