There's been an independent report which looks at the need case in East Anglia. We're fine to go for 2034/5 instead of 2030. It's specifically about need and demand. No point rushing a bad solution through.

For me @IpswichTown is the story of the season. No parachute payments, spent just £4.7m in the past 2 seasons, shrewd loan deals, clear philosophy, terrific manager, front foot, expansive style, losing just 10 games last 2 seasons. As near as you’ll get to modern football romance.

Well done @RosieP4 and team @PylonsEAnglia we’re heading in the right direction…discussion about an offshore grid, saving the countryside, environment and consumers £6b with a strategic offshore grid. Keep the pressure on guys.

Pylons: is it that as a cost plus contractor @nationalgrid get paid more if they spend more? Their report shows offshore grid in East Anglia £2Bn cheaper than proposed pylons. nationalgrideso.com/document… Build offshore grid: cheaper, faster, less destructive @PylonsEAnglia

Shocking how little understanding demonstrated of underlying issues. Green energy is not green if pylons used destroy countryside and cultural heritage. @PylonsEAnglia

It’s unbelievable that the offshore option hasn’t been considered. Please retweet, share and sign the petition.
National Grid wants to slice through the heart of rural East Anglia with 180km of pylons - despite its own report saying that an integrated offshore approach would save £6bn AND be better for the environment @bernardjenkin Here's the petition: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio…
