Christ, time goes quick ! 30 years ago today and I was there that day. Frankie Dettori, 25 at the time, achieved what seemed impossible by going through a 7-race card at Ascot on September 28, 1996.

As the owner of a wolfdog, may I credit this wolfdog Nazgul as a Very Good Boy.
Gatecrashing the Winter Olympics deserves an offal treat as the bare minimum.

It was pretty dark when Jonbon finished at the testing area after winning the Clarence House and crossed the High Street to go back to the racecourse stables.
Back in the day these cheap cover versions of Top 10 hits on the Embassy label, sold exclusively in Woolworths. Still got small collection, Baby Love, The Supremes big hit - but this one by Joan Baxter and The Beatmen. #vinylrecords #vinylcollection
Very sad news Ian Balding has died at the age of 87. A great trainer and especially will always be remembered for the brilliant Mill Reef. ( First time I went to the Arc when Mill Reef won in 1971.)
Spinning. Still got the first Elvis LP I ever bought, Rock 'N' Roll No.2 (Mono). If I remember right - and this is 5+ decades ago - in old money I think it was 32/6
(£1 12s 6d) = decimal currency about £1.62.

18. I never bought a Waterbed or a Walkman. And kids today will never know how super-slow dial-up speed used to be !
Spinning. A young Rod Stewart and one of his very early LP's and still one of his best imo Every Picture Tells A Story.

The Supremes A' Go-Go. A lot of competition since, but Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson & Diana Ross still one of the best girl groups ever.
And the old Hacker Record Player still going strong after almost 60 years ! #vinylcommunity
Bristol Record Fair on 5 floors at Bristol Beacon (transformed from Colston Hall 2 yrs ago). Next event Dec.6th.. #vinylcommunity #VinylCollection
The late Geoff Lewis and the mighty Mill Reef. Won 12 of his 14 races and 2nd in the other 2. Won the Epsom Derby, Eclipse Stks, King George and 54 years ago when they won the Arc.

The small army of Ricky Hatton fans who invaded Vegas for his fights in the 2000s were easily the most fun boxing crowd the city has ever hosted. #RIPRickyHatton (🎥 F. Flauta)
