Democratic Congress member Ritchie Torres is introducing legislation in Congress to regulate digital video game ownership.
"A game that can be taken away the moment a company pulls the plug is not a purchase. It is a rental disguised as a sale."

Digsite is still around! Still got a lot of cool things in the works! Lot of other things we wish we could do as well. But it certainly would be cool to be able to tackle stuff like this in the future too if the new studio under Activision is open to stuff like this 🙏
With the publisher, Activision, building a new studio for Halo from the ground up, it's safe to assume the next Halo game is ~3-4 years out.
But Halo Studios is still in charge of all existing games. We KNOW Infinite has oodles of content that never hit the tarmac. I think it would be in the best interest of all Halo players for them to consider constructing a new digsite team (of sorts) to help push out some of those really cool things we never saw come to fruition.
- Near complete Dev maps could be given to the most trusted forgers to be dusted off and polished in Forge for release (I'm pretty sure there are like 4 or 5 maps, some big team battle, too. ALSO there's that giant forge world 2.0 map)
- The Gauss Hog exists. I've seen it. I've used it. All it needs is a little polish on the turret and some sounds and it's ready to roll (the Falcon was made from existing sounds in Infinite, the same can be done for this)
- The Phantom and Pelican have controls, you just can't spawn them. Let modders find a way to pull them in as spawnable vehicles.
- The Wolvereine was being worked on if I remember correctly.
- The unreleased black hole equipment item that was slated to work similar to the Void's Tear from Halo 5 could be polished and released. Gameplay changer right there.
- There are still a handful of Weapons that are not customizable. Allow us to customize the energy sword with different basic colors. MCC does this and it rules
- Find a way to unlock the Armor Kits. You do that and you're looking at a lot of new revenue

On top of this work that could be done alongside the community (and I know there would be people willing to help out) the developers could rework a few things within the game to help create a full definitive package.
- Update the Exchange with items that have still not been released (lookin at you, Snowman)
- Clean up the playlists for a simpler and solid round of modes and maps to help the player pool find matches quicker. There are simply too many modes and map copies in rotation for a 6 year old game.
- Rework the Ultimate Reward system. On top of a nice Spartan Point payout, introduce individual armor pieces from The Shop as weekly rewards. There are more than enough bundles in the game to pull from. Unlock a helmet as a weekly reward? The bundle it coincides with is now cheaper. I can guarantee it will incentivize folks to purchase things in the store. More money for the studio right there.
DOUBLE XP WEEKENDS: Double down on current Spartan Point earnings for the weekends, as well as double the already doubled up earnings.

This all sounds like a lot but I truly belive that if even a fraction of these things were implemented, Infinite would see a revitalization. The game has an incredibly rocky launch, but it's in a good spot now-- we just need more to do. I know forgers would help, I know modders would want to help. The game lasted as long as it did BECAUSE of Studio/Community collaboration.
If Halo Infinite had these things done as a Definitive Edition update- the fan base would have that much more to do while we wait for the future titles. Its a net positive. The studio was wrongfully gutted, but management can push for more hires and more work to be done. They're still a Studio, not a graveskeeper. Make it happen and you won't be disappointed.
We're like cursed to never get a Halo 3 remake, good or bad. Seems like few remake/reimagined series ever make it to the third game again...
HaloFest next year Microsoft should buy a private island and remodel it to be Silent Cartographer themed!
Just finished Gears E-Day and OMG the Coalition really delivered with this one! I was admittedly a bit skeptical going into it but that story was sooo good and they truly achieved the return to form that they set out to do with this game. Still curious to see how they do Gears 6.

Here's the first release of the Xbox 360 Peer Pressure softmod. Blog post will be out in a few weeks with all the technical details. Barring any critical bugs I'll be "hibernating" for the next 2 months to recoup my sanity from working on this project github.com/grimdoomer/Xbox36…
For the first time ever, we can now see the final version of the unused Halo 2 Anniversary MP (groundhog) main menu. There was a leaked early 360 build showing an H4 menu with a classic H2 theme to it, but it seems in the final MCC Xbox version, they switched themes. #Halo
Who wants to rent out a movie theater with me to do 16 player splitscreen on the big screen?!
4 player split screen is now plebeian.
The patricians of today can now play Halo with 16 players split screen

The 3D support on this actually works very well and is probably better than a lot of actual 3DS games. Unfortunately I can't really capture that with my phone camera.

3,045 votes • Final resultsI certainly hope things get cleared up about HaloFest soon. I have a lot of announcements I've been waiting to make on that soon but it'll highly depend on what actually is going to happen. In any case, I'll have some exciting things to announce too in the near future!
With all the news about Halo yesterday things are uncertain no confirmation if Fest is still good to go.
I’m gonna keep assuming it is, and with that, I will be showcasing (both) projects I will be giving out during that weekend & #HaloFest.
So October 2nd at 2pm Est I'll be live streaming on here, showing off both projects. I’ve been working on that you can get this year.
A follow-up post will go up right after that, showing everything. So keep and eye out for that day to see what you have to look forward to this year to grab! Keep your head high y'all 👊
