Again, I agree. I don’t believe in ‘leaders’ at all. The expression ‘deferred to’ is odd though. For me, personally, I didn’t look for ‘experts’, I looked for other people who suddenly realised in 2020 something huge and terrible was happening, I looked for other ‘newbies’ like me, people who had trouble accepting that the world they had known was not ‘real.’ I desperately needed to know if there were others, and if they were many in my situation.
You didn’t answer the question: who clearly ‘appointed themselves’ as leaders?
