Take note of the stages of the #COMESA2026 Summit that starts today in Harare. Our minister of foreign affairs and international trade has broken down the process leading up to us assuming the Chairmanship.

The President made an important announcement about the danger we find mudzimba lately. It is important for us to take his message seriously and stop gender based violence.

It all starts with these rape-like content to incite and promote such behaviors. Zimbabwean men are known for this kind of behavior that has been normalized kubva kare with ana sekuru playfully touching kids. The end is full blown rape. This is disturbing

These are the resolutions that came out of the recently held 23rd People's Conference in Chinhoyi
321
As we conclude this historic 23rd ZANU PF National People’s Conference here in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West Province, we stand evident by a sacred duty to deliver. Our party emerges from this indaba united, vibrant, and single-mindedly focused on the supreme goal of wholehearted service to the people of Zimbabwe. In a peaceful and united environment, let us now go back to our respective provinces and districts to explicitly explain the resolutions and discussions we have finalised here. The theme of this conference serves as our unwavering compass of measure. We have rigorously examined the state of our party, and we are reinforcing our political foundation as an engine for national transformation. We are a mass party with a rich legacy, and this conference has echoed our founding values. Upon this bedrock, we continue to deepen people-centered governance. The party's strength lies in an efficient system, solid structures, and active organs. Every single leader has a duty to be visible and directly accountable to the needs of the grassroots. In our quest to serve the nation, results are needed as our promises. We are moving swiftly from promises to delivery—from resolutions to results. The resolutions we have adopted require measurable progress, strict monitoring, and clearly established timelines. Any challenges we face must be addressed directly by us as leaders, through robust synergies, collaboration, and an open-door policy that welcomes continuous feedback. This morning, we demonstrated this exact spirit of delivery on the sidelines of our conference by commissioning life-changing infrastructure projects for our people: We commissioned the 1,271-bed state-of-the-art student accommodation facility built by the Mining Industry Pension Fund (MIPF). This US$26.1 million investment stands as secure, modern housing for our youth, advancing our vision for education. We officially commissioned the new oxygen production plant and a 100 kW solar system at Chinhoyi General Hospital to guarantee uninterrupted, life-saving green energy. We launched the Health on Wheels initiative to expand accessible healthcare directly to the communities that need it most. Under the leadership of ZANU PF, commerce and social development will continue to thrive, firmly anchored on the preservation of our armed history and liberation legacy. Let us hit the ground running with discipline and unity. United we stand, divided we fall—unity remains indispensable.

Asi Everton akaenda kuConference akamirira SDA or he went on his personal capacity as a member of a party that he has a right to be part of? In your own words SDAs should never vote, never be part of government (but only oppose government), never interact with anyone from the party. Everton is a man of God, he can associate with anyone because Jesus says the same. As a man of God, he is compelled to preach via his music even in political circles. Chero kumabhawa he should actually go and preach. Tinofanira kuona vanhu vakadai kwese kwese. Imi vanhu vakapinda Savhadha nezuro mune problem yekutora chitendero muchiita kunge ndechekumba kwenyu. Mune problem yekuzviita kunge muri holier than vamwe vanhu and you should never associate with people because they are sinners, where in the Bible do you get that? Ipapo you could be the worst sinner uchirara nevakadzi vevanhu uchidya pork uchi treater vamwe vanhu bad but you draw the line pakuti muSavhadha akuenda kunonamatisa vamwe vanhu from a political party that you don't like. No maan, do better please. #AsakhiZim
Is this the same Everton Mlalazi who sings “Apo Mambo votonga, uchamira sei?” The very same man who attended the just-ended ZANU-PF conference? The same ZANU-PF whose leaders chant “Kombayi Murove, Tinokuvezai” and countless other slogans? I have a genuine question for the Seventh-day Adventist Church leadership in Harare: What has become of our church? Do we still believe in the soon return of Jesus Christ, or have the pursuit of money, political influence and proximity to worldly power compromised the very principles we profess to uphold? At what point did political connections become more important than our Christian convictions? Are we still preparing people for the Kingdom of Heaven, or are we now competing for a seat at the tables of earthly kings? The church must remain the conscience of society, not become an extension of political power. We cannot preach the soon return of Christ on Sabbath and appear to glorify worldly power the rest of the week. @ZimEastUnionCon @adventistchurch

The opposition has turned social media into a rumour factory, hoping to manufacture a Mnangagwa–Chiwenga fallout from a conference presentation. But political speculation is not political evidence. ZANU PF has established structures for debate, leadership and decision-making.

This malicious framing by opposition elements and detractors attempting to manufacture a rift between His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and Vice President Constantino Chiwenga based on the recent 23rd People’s Conference in Chinhoyi represents nothing more than wishful thinking. A rigorous, intelligent reading of Vice President Chiwenga’s address reveals complete alignment with the foundational philosophy of the Second Republic, a philosophy anchored on accountability, institutional discipline, and President Mnangagwa’s unwavering vision for socio-economic transformation. Far from challenging the leadership, the Vice President’s speech serves to reinforce the President’s continuous push for internal renewal and people-centric governance. When Vice President Chiwenga invoked the historical context of the Second Republic, noting in both English and Shona that the administration was born out of the necessity to correct past administrative rot and demanding whether the party is repeating old mistakes critics eagerly misconstrued this as an anti-establishment critique. In reality, this self-appraisal is the exact ideological cornerstone of President Mnangagwa’s own governance model. The President has repeatedly emphasized that the party and government must constantly audit their conduct, weed out complacency, and eliminate corruption. The Vice President was not attacking leadership, but rather echoing the President's relentless call for ideological purity, results-based management, and strict adherence to organizational values. Furthermore, the opposition’s fixation on the Vice President’s remarks regarding change specifically that "change is inevitable" and must be orderly and driven by party structures ignores the broader context of the President's own reformist agenda. President Mnangagwa’s administration has consistently championed structural and economic modernization under Vision 2030. When Vice President Chiwenga noted that change must be channeled through the party constitution and anchored on the collective voice of the people, he was directly endorsing the President's insistence on discipline and institutional order over individual ambition. By citing Mao Zedong on the subordination of private desires to collective purpose, the Vice President was explicitly rebuking factionalism and individualistic grandstanding, thereby shielding the presidency and reinforcing party unity. Ultimately, the attempt by external commentators to paint Vice President Chiwenga's address as a challenge to President Mnangagwa collapses under intelligent scrutiny. The speech is a masterclass in disciplined cadre ship, emphasizing that the party belongs to the people, that temporary custodians must serve with integrity, and that all efforts must converge toward achieving Vision 2030. Rather than signaling discord, the address demonstrates a unified executive team marching in lockstep behind the President, committed to crushing administrative laxity and delivering tangible development to the people of Zimbabwe. @mawarirej #AsakhiZim

From Resolutions to Results: Consolidating Economic Development and Deepening Empowerment Towards Vision 2030. As we gathered at the 23rd National People’s Conference, I reminded all delegates and progressive Zimbabweans that leadership is a duty to serve. It is the responsibility of each and every one of us to promote, defend, and advance our Party’s ideology, policies, and resolutions. MuZANU PF hamudi zvemazvake mazvake. Tinofanira kufamba tose, takabatana uye tiine gwara rimwe. There is no room for solo efforts or dividing our focus—neither lagging behind nor running ahead out of step. We move forward together: step by step, brick by brick! We stand on the shoulders of giants. We pay a ringing tribute to the brave Chinhoyi 7 who made the ultimate sacrifice for our liberation, alongside our founding Executive President, Cde R.G. Mugabe, and the many heroes of Mashonaland West. Through their sacrifice, we fulfilled the sacred mission of retaking our land and re-uniting it with its true owners. Today, the unity within our Party and the peace across our nation validate our leadership. Our targeted policies and programmes are bear visible fruit, continuously improving the quality of life and livelihoods for ordinary citizens. To ensure we all march to the same rhythm of development, the Chitepo School of Ideology is open to all—including the private sector, which can request tailor-made training programmes to help align our national vision. Let us remain united, focused, and disciplined as we consolidate our economic gains and deepen empowerment, leaving no one and no place behind!

I think it it is important for us to understand kuti COMESA iyi irikutaurwa ichatibatsira sei as ordinary citizens and small business owners. Assuming the COMESA chairmanship places Zimbabwe at the heart of regional trade, opening massive doors for ordinary citizens and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) alike. Central to this milestone is market liberalisation, which allows Zimbabwean goods and services to enter multiple member states smoothly without the trade restrictions and barriers we previously faced. For local entrepreneurs, farmers, and small manufacturers, this means direct access to millions of regional consumers, expanding business footprints well beyond our borders.  At the same time, this open-market dynamic serves as a powerful catalyst for our domestic industries. As Zimbabwean products gain wider exposure, meeting international standards reinforces the high quality of our goods while encouraging local businesses to continually innovate, upgrade operations, and adopt modern technologies. Ultimately, leading COMESA empowers our local economy to build competitive, future-ready industries, driving sustainable economic growth and creating tangible opportunities for every Zimbabwean.
