Look, it is a little contrived that Jean can't bring back her family or the D'Bari given the power levels involved but it's far more interesting for her character. Death, suicide, loss, denial, saving billions. None of that absolves her for what she did.
So many villainous actions are swept under the rug or undone to whitewash fan favorites. It's genuinely a breath of fresh air that such a horrific act by a main character has stuck around for over 40 years and continues to be treated with the severity it deserves
Is it my algorithm or did Lanterns hype just completely die out? Was the finale that bad? Still worth watching?

The entire point of her character is that she's an abandoned orphan who has grown to mistrust and resent other people. It's pretty clearly spelled out in their final confrontation. Jean lays her flawed worldview pretty bare. It's not being purposefully obtuse.
These are the people that actually hate Karma btw. When you remove all nuance and interesting uniqueness from a character's origin to get a one up in a fandom war you're showcasing the type of disdain or complete lack of care for a character that people accuse Jean fans of.
Mutant was kidnapped by a clandestine government agency. They're tortured and experimented on so to weaponize their mutant abilities. Damn, can't believe BND Jean stole Wolverine's entire origin.
See how easy it is to twist stories to fit an agenda?

Karma (Xuân Cao Mạnh)
Mutant telepath with possession and mind control powers whose origin story is a Spider-Man crossover where she mind controls others in a desperate attempt to save her siblings, one of which has the exact same powers as her
Some Jean fans need to chill about Tokon Cyclops. Like yeah it's a stupid thing based off a stupid comic, but it's really not that serious
The difference in likes lol. The struggle to get casual fans to understand the Jean Phoenix relationship is real
