Math is hard. With @IndyEleven 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay, Indy's math gets a little simpler, but that isn't a good thing. Indy has to either win at least one of their final two games. The math is simple, the process of getting it accomplished is difficult.

A 90'+5' header by former GK Farr, @IndyEleven get a 1-1 draw. Indy has 7 league draws, 5 of which they've had the lead & lost it late. Which is how a team finds itself now sitting outside of a playoff position with just 3 daunting games remaining.

I have been having this thought recently and decided to go forward with the thought exercise.
Obviously, nobody in the club has said anything even remotely close to this to me, but is Ersal planning for @IndyEleven to be in League One?

With Rendon & Sharp late scratches from the @IndyEleven starting lineup, McAuley pulled together a new starting lineup minutes before gametime from limited options. With a good game from Miami, the playoff race tightens after 2-nil Miami win.

After what was likely @IndyEleven's best full-game performance all season vs Brooklyn, Indy's inconsistent results caught up with them again as they lost to visiting Oakland 1-nil.

With ruthless efficiency, @IndyEleven worked the counterattack to perfection in a 4-nil victory on a Tuesday night.

Sometimes it's how you finish the game, not how you start it. Despite conceding twice in two minutes in the 1st half, @IndyEleven find two of their own goals in the 2nd half to share the points with the Western Conference leaders New Mexico.

Say what you want about tactics, towards the end of the @IndyEleven game, tactics went out of the window, & Indy secured the point in a 2-2 comeback draw with a stoppage time goal due entirely to their effort. Effort that will endear you to a fan base.

It hasn't happened much in the LIPAFC series, but @IndyEleven pulled out a 2-1 victory against their rivals from south I-65. The win against Louisville helps Indy try to recover from the rough stretch in July.

We saw @IndyEleven be Indy in this game. Concede possession. Stay compact & disciplined on defense. Counterattack. Throw in some set piece chances & that's Indy's method of operation these days. Indy get a 1-nil victory to break the winless streak.

In @mcauleycoach's 100th game, @IndyEleven got a 1-1 draw despite getting an early goal. I'm just not sure this team has the talent, across the board, to be more than what we're seeing right now, which is a team teetering precariously on the playoff line.

As I saw the milestone coming, I took a look at McAuley's tenure. It's been a bit uneven at times, but he's still in line with the most successful Indy coaches.

Potential exists during @IndyEleven's game today for Coach McAuley to get his 100th game as coach, @DaBrickWall00 to get his 100th game in the @USLChampionship, & @cam__lindley to surpass 10,000 minutes as an Indy player (needs to play the entire game). Can they get a win too?
A stoppage time goal prevented the shutout, but @IndyEleven lose to San Antonio 3-1 to continue the losing streak & their road woes.
In the losing streak, Indy can't score & can't defend. Something needs figured out before the season gets away from them.

ICMI: In a couple of games, @mcauleycoach will become the longest tenured (by games) coach in the history of @IndyEleven. Set to join the Century Club, I take a look at how his first (almost) 100 games has compared.

Despite 9 shots on target, @IndyEleven couldn't find the goal & their unbeaten home league streak came to a disappointing end to Loudoun. After being held scoreless just twice in first 10 games, Indy have been held without a goal in 4 of the last 5 games.
