Let’s make her famous for what she did.
Deja Nicole Taylor went to prison after her 6-year-old son used her 9mm handgun to shoot first-grade teacher Abby Zwerner in January 2023.
She received 2 years in state prison for felony child neglect and 21 months in federal prison for firearm offenses.
Taylor was released from prison in 2026 and is subject to two years of supervised probation, including substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment, and parenting classes.
The newly released police bodycam footage has brought renewed attention to this case.

ICE agents just STORMED an apartment complex in National City, California and pulled out an illegal immigrant who tried running back inside to hide..
National City sits right up against the border, and more than 1 in 3 people living there were born in another country, over DOUBLE the national rate. Democrats have run the show for decades, and the city hasn't voted Republican for president in more than 30 years.
And the results have been a total DISASTER. The city is $13 million in the hole and already had to raid its savings just to keep the lights on, On top of that, violent crime is running 34% higher than the rest of California, and only about 1 in 3 kids at the local elementary schools can even read at grade level.
The city is broke, dangerous and failing its kids, but somehow ICE is the problem..

A Rabid Responder soy boy in Fresno decided federal immigration law was optional, so he walked up on ICE agents doing their job and started harassing them while they detained illegal aliens.
On the tape he can't get past skin color. Enforcement is racism in his head, even when the agents are following federal statute and the targets are removable aliens. He is what California's school system keeps shipping out into the street. They're not educating. They're training people to become retards with a megaphone.
Roughly two dozen detentions hit the area in days, including a farmworker van stopped on the Selma-to-Bakersfield run and targeted pickups near Ashlan and Cornelia. Agents have been moving people through the downtown Fresno ICE office at 733 L Street.

Ebony Parker, the former assistant principal at Richneck Elementary School in Virginia, was accused of ignoring repeated warnings that a 6-year-old student had a gun at school.
That child later shot his first-grade teacher, Abby Zwerner, in January 2023, seriously injuring her.
Parker was charged with EIGHT felony counts of child neglect and faced up to 40 years in prison.
But in May 2026, a judge dismissed ALL eight charges.
However, in a separate civil lawsuit, a jury found Parker grossly negligent and awarded Abby Zwerner $10 MILLION in damages against Parker.
