made it nearly 18 months into remote working without a major zoom incident... but today i was "that guy" switched to phone audio during an engineering all-hands so i could clean up the kitchen while i listened in on the meeting

apparently zoom unmutes you when switching from computer to phone audio, and i forgot to mute my phone after putting it on speaker 187 other people got to listen to me bang around for 10 minutes over the presentations until someone finally said "matt please mute yourself"

nothing like e-mailing the CTO and a few VPs to apologize for making an ass of yourself in front of everyone fortunately the VP running the meeting told me "if that's the worst thing that happens to us today then we're living well"
