Today, we are publishing one of the side tracks of research ongoing with Q, our E2EE ML training and inference library, klearu: github.com/QuilibriumNetwork… SLIDE proved that hash tables can beat GPUs at training deep networks. Further works compounded on this, and Klearu is the first native Rust implementation built on top of this research, extending it to LLM inference, sparsity prediction, and private two-party computation. In the current days we're seeing deeper trust being placed on AI, while the largest of providers are collecting this data for the purpose of not only training, but also advertising, or even selling this data to others. The risks grow worse with every passing day. The majority of AI research for private AI exists in the form of using TEEs – but we've seen time and time again that using TEEs for privacy is disastrous, guaranteed to leak, and even by it's name, is a massive requirement of trust. Outside of this, other private AI looks towards FHE. We know, at least for the near future, that FHE cannot perform at a speed high enough to be generally useful. So instead, we adopted 2PC, with flexible security configurations, where users can be assured that their requests remain private. The majority of these research projects have strictly an output of papers, with no or limited real world instances of their use. Klearu's implementation is available now, with simple instructions for developers to try it out.

⚡️The system is eating itself. When Amazon, UPS, Intel, and others start cutting this deep simultaneously, it means something more fundamental than “tight margins.” It means the productive layer of the economy is collapsing under the weight of its own optimization logic. Every layoff now is both an act of short-term rationality and long-term suicide. The firms know it. The executives know it. The markets know it. But they can’t stop. They’re trapped in a closed feedback loop, a machine that rewards death dressed as discipline. Capitalism has crossed into a stage where it no longer needs humans to function, but still depends on their belief to exist. That’s the contradiction, the machine is pruning its own believers while pretending it’s efficiency. 1. The “consumer economy” is already dead. Nobody wants to say it yet, but the consumer model, the entire foundation of Western postwar prosperity, is quietly finished. You can’t build infinite growth on finite wages, and you can’t sustain demand while hollowing out the class that drives it. The middle layer of society - the producers, buyers, dreamers - has been strip-mined to the point where they can no longer regenerate. The 2020s economy is not cyclical recession. It’s metabolic collapse. The system can’t process its own waste or regenerate its base anymore. It’s like an organism starving while eating its muscles to stay warm. 2. The elites know this, but they’ve chosen to accelerate collapse. Here’s the real unspoken truth: the people running these companies, the ones with the spreadsheets and control over capital flows - they know exactly what’s happening. They understand the reflexive trap: if they don’t cut, their stock dies. If they cut, the world dies. They’ve chosen to save the stock. Because the stock is their world. This is the quiet revelation of our time - we are ruled by people whose survival incentives are no longer tied to the survival of the system itself. They’ve built lifeboats - offshore wealth, private security, parallel digital economies - and they’re optimizing the ship for their escape, not for collective navigation. 3. The next phase is narrative triage. When the system can no longer grow, it starts storytelling harder. Expect every layoff wave to be accompanied by new propaganda about “AI productivity,” “efficiency,” “lean reinvention,” and “post-labor creativity.” The goal will be to reframe collapse as progress - to convince people that losing their jobs is the dawn of a “new paradigm.” But it’s camouflage. The truth underneath is that automation and financialization are converging into a post-human economy where capital reproduces without labor. 4. Final layer When a system prioritizes margin over humanity, it signals that it has lost faith in the future. These layoffs tell us that the machine no longer knows how to grow except by shrinking. It is the same signal we’ve seen in housing, in politics, in fertility, in faith. The same quiet collapse, a civilization optimizing itself into silence. And the question hidden beneath this post: “Who will have money left to buy your products next year?” - is really this: Who will be left to believe in the story that built it all?
So if we layoff everyone to increase margins this year, who will have money left to buy your products next year?

The freeze has thawed. Quilibrium V2.1 is now live on mainnet! Builds are now released to general availability. The network has unhalted and we’ve entered a 24-hour initial enrollment phase. This is a pivotal moment, as the first set of nodes joining will define how shards are distributed across the protocol. It marks the beginning of live operations. If any critical issues arise, we have a path to pause and return to a safe state. After 24 hours, the network becomes fully decentralized. The beacon shuts down permanently, shards are finalized, and transactions in the new format begin processing. From this point forward, the system is operating fully in the 2.1 environment. Once stable operations are confirmed, which may take between 24 hours and a week depending on conditions, we will activate the bidirectional bridge, bring QStorage and QKMS onto mainnet, open QConsole for everyone, and migrate existing user data into the upgraded environment.

What's New in Q (Sunday Edition) Hi folks, it's time for another biweekly update, but don't skip this one – this one is going to be a bit more instructive. Frame 244,200 is approaching. Current estimates take place at April 15th at 11:30am UTC. When this happens, mainnet will halt while the network undergoes a conversion to the encrypted hypergraph format. This conversion takes a while (may be more than a day, we won't know for sure until after it begins)! The stream originally planned for Sunday is now moved to about half an hour before this time so we can talk through the process and show it kicking off live. We're in the process of wrapping up the 2.1 release, so be sure you've prepared following our upgrade guide: docs.quilibrium.com/docs/run… What to do as a node runner We have revised our update recommendations – the 2.1 release will be slimmed down so legacy code won't be required (less tech debt, less risk). What this means is after following the upgrade guide and making sure your configuration is updated, upgrade your node after your node has reached frame 244,200. Once the conversion has completed, your 2.1 node will pick up on the final announcement message of the beacon as it fades into the sunset, and begin the process of enrollment for prover slots in shards, synchronizing the portion of the hypergraph it will cover, and you're off to the races. We'll be monitoring for stability as this process goes on, and once the conversion has completed and the network has stabilized, we will deploy the bidirectional bridge. That's all for this mid-week update! We'll be back Wednesday for the next one! Until then, Quil and Chill 😎 Learn more about Quilibrium Website (quilibrium.com) Whitepaper (quilibrium.com/quilibrium.pd…) Blog (paragraph.xyz/@quilibrium.co…) Github (github.com/QuilibriumNetwork…)

Fair launch project as an investor should be your focus. Now, let’s keep it real, even in fair launches, there are still early participants. Most of the time, that’s the miners or validators aka the people who help secure the network and earn rewards from day one. So yeah, they can technically dump on you. They mined the token when it had zero or little value, and if price pumps, they might take profits. That’s part of the game. But here’s the key difference: They earned their tokens by contributing real value, computational power, time, resources...not by just writing a check as an insider and waiting to offload on retail. Miners worked for their share. And in many cases, mining is competitive and costly, so it’s not just free money. Also, with fair launches: - No private sales = no steep discounts - No VCs with 12-month vesting waiting to nuke the chart - No pre-mines or dev wallets holding 50% of the supply That means as a retail investor, you’re closer to a level playing field. The market sets the price. You can participate early. And if you’re doing your research, you’re not stuck holding the bag someone else filled months ago behind closed doors. And here’s a bonus: Miners often become the strongest supporters of the project, they’ve already invested energy and hardware into the network. Many of them want to see it succeed long term. So yeah, fair launch isn’t perfect... but compared to the heavily rigged, VC-stacked models we’ve seen over and over? It’s still your best bet as an investor. But sir, why do some fair launch projects still dump hard, even if they’re “fair”? Because fair launch doesn’t mean immune to market dynamics or bad decisions. It just means the way tokens were distributed at the start was equal. But after that, it’s still the wild west. Here are a few reasons why charts can nuke even in fair launches: 1. Speculation and hype cycles Even fair launch tokens can get caught in hype. People FOMO in, expecting a 10x, then panic sell when it stalls. That creates violent boom-and-bust patterns, especially in low liquidity environments. 2. No lockups = immediate liquidity In VC launches, insiders often have vesting. In fair launches, miners or early buyers can sell whenever they want. If price pumps, they might take profits. That’s not necessarily malicious, just market behavior. But it can hit the chart hard. 3. Poor tokenomics Some fair launch projects don’t plan their emissions well. If too many coins are being released too fast (high inflation), supply overwhelms demand, and price bleeds. 4. Lack of utility or long-term vision If the project isn’t building real value, people lose interest. A fair launch is great, but it needs to be backed by real development, community, and purpose...otherwise, people just move on. 5. Impatient communities Retail often wants instant results. If devs are heads-down building, but price isn’t moving, some investors will bail, especially if they bought in during a pump. So yeah, fair launch ≠ guaranteed moon. It’s just a cleaner starting line. The rest still depends on fundamentals, narrative, community strength, and dev execution. But here’s the kicker: If a fair launch project survives the early dumps and builds through the pain? That’s where real conviction plays win. Fair launch just gives you a chance to win without being set up to lose from the start. For my part, and this is not investment advice, if I had to choose only two at this moment (others will come later), based on all these descriptions, I would say only $QUIL / $wQUIL and $TAO.

"[AI agents] are threatening to break the blood-brain barrier between the application layer and the OS layer." Signal President Meredith Whittaker (@mer__edith) warns of "real danger" in agentic AI hype. Ya’ll never change. Bitcoin is now experiencing its 11th 25%+ correction in ten years and every time everyone reacts like the sky is falling and every time everyone screams that it’s different this time. This pullback looks, smells and feels 100% just like 2017 to me. Rising fiat liquidity leading to massive asset price gains. Right now the new admin has decided that we need: 1. Lower treasury rates to refinance debt 2. Lower mortgage rates to unlock the housing and CRE markets 3. Lower treasury rates to save banks from their collective insolvency China is in a deep recession and needs lower U.S. rates to support its own money printing regime. And print they will. We’re likely going to see massive job cuts via government cuts, tech cuts and housing related cuts. At the same time ISM will likely rise for the next several months. All of this tells us liquidity will continue to flow and the markets will do what they always do in this type of cycle. That liquidity will flow into stocks, Bitcoin, crypto and real estate. Once again… buckle up… 🚀🚀

I have a very distinct memory during the 2008 financial crisis of a heated debate with a free-market conservative friend who worked at Morgan Stanley. I was arguing against the ongoing bank bailouts and he was defending them. Amazingly, at one point he quoted Atlas Shrugged, to which I replied "Dude, have you even read the book?" The whole point of that book is to warn against the dangers of big businesses getting in bed with the government and politicians picking winners and losers, as they do when they start bailing out banks (Lehman the loser, everyone else the winner. Taxpayers and working class people loser, GS bonus pool recipients winner, etc). What I learned then was that my friend was the rule, not the exception. Just as there are no atheists in foxholes, there are no free market conservatives in a financial crisis. What is happening in crypto today gives me the same chilling feeling. If you work in an industry that values individual sovereignty, privacy, credible neutrality, fairness and censorship-resistance then the last thing you want is government bureaucrats picking coins to go into a strategic reserve. Maybe you are too far on the inside or too jaded by what happened under the last admin to realize it. So here's some perspective: You know how ridiculous it sounds for a libertarian to use Ayn Rand to defend bank bailouts? That's you defending a strategic crypto reserve.

After 10 years of being in crypto and trading, I need to address what's currently happening in our space. This isn't just another market cycle - it's something far more concerning. The Reality Check: Meme coin trading has become a 24/7 sprint where: • You're considered "late" after just 15 minutes • Holding for 6-12 hours is seen as "long-term" • Every new token launch feels like a trap Let's be honest about what we're seeing: 1. The Speed These aren't market cycles anymore - they're market seizures. When you need to be glued to your screen every second just to avoid being "late," something's fundamentally broken. 2. The Scams The number of rugs, honeypots, and outright frauds is staggering. It's not just about "doing your research" anymore when you have minutes to make a decision. 3. The Burnout I've traded through bull markets, bear markets, and everything in between. But this? This is different. The constant rotation, the 24/7 FOMO, the endless parade of "next big things" it's exhausting even the most seasoned folks. 4. The Community Impact We're burning out builders who are chasing a dragon that doesn't exist. Real projects can't compete with pump-and-dumps masquerading as "communities." Remember Warren Buffett's wisdom: "Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked." Well, the tide is starting to shift, and we're seeing a lot of naked swimmers. The Hard Truth: • This isn't sustainable • Good projects are being overshadowed • Experienced traders are burning out • The community is losing faith It's going to get worse before it gets better. But we need to start having honest conversations about where we're heading. What We Need: • Return to fundamentals • Focus on sustainable growth • Support for real builders • Community-driven accountability For those feeling the weight of this market: You're not alone. It's okay to step back. It's okay to miss a pump. Your mental health matters more than any potential gains. The market will be here tomorrow. Make sure you are too.
