In the middle of the night this bit of truth occurs to me: The existence of the romanceable NPC in an rpg, and the lengths we will go in order to make sure we end up with the one we want, reveals that we are all, in one way or another, willing to choose love. 🧡

The idea some people have that you should β€œgrow out of video games” once you reach a certain age is so bleak. god forbid you marry someone like that, who decides *for you* that gaming isnt an artform, or adventure, but more of an unhealthy vice, like potato chips one of my worst fears as a kid was that by some unholy alchemy, Time would one day rip me out of my seat & transmute me into an upstanding citizen who only thinks about paying bills, fitted sheets & healthcare premiums its natural for some people to grow out of it on their own. but this idea of cutting yourself off because you aged out of it is so weird and unsettling to me

heavensward estinien gives me the vibe of that one guy in the gym who's covered head to toe in a jacket and sweatpants and then proceeds to work out like he's fighting his inner demons while listening to nightcore

#ffxivbb 's Nony Mouse time is over so I'm taking part as a writer and I'll be writing a long fic about the Warriors of Darkness, the ShB bounty hunters, and how Shadowkeeper and an act of mercy binds the two groups together!

My entry, La Lapin et le Dragon, for the #ffxivbb will be accompanied by art by the fantastic @mmeizn! It's an AU erotic retelling of Beaumont's La Belle et la BΓͺte with inspiration from the Epic of Gilgamesh. Featuring Nidhogg possessed Estinien as the Beast and my WoL as Belle.
