My last semester was clearly one the most difficult time of my life. Being a founder at a start up in web3 and working more than full time on it, having delays, failures and achievements while being a full time student in my last year of software engineering was a fkg pain.
I only have more respects for founders and builders and understand more every day how hard it is, how heavy this life is and how mentally challenging are the responsibilities.
I passed my classes in extremis and the only thing I take from those months is that this is just the beginning and those next months are gonna be hella grind, but I will do it.
Really weird when your latina mom tells you to drop your semester to work only for your company, that’s how dead I was mentally.

Only magic eden currently has the tech to launch a pre-inscribed collection using parent-child
All launchpads/marketplaces are waking up to this as it’s a new trend, but no launchpads provide this support (PSBT)
Right now, all the other launchpads only offer direct-to-inscribe (@ordinalgenesis, @OviatoHQ, etc) aka you inscribe a copy of X inscription for a X supply (no way to use parent-child)
However, launchpads/marketplaces are waking up to this problem due to the increase in popularity in parent-child collections and this tech will be normalized before Q2 2025
Great companies like Ordinalsbot and BestinSlot are working on APIs to provide this infrastructure to those in need, so it’s really just a question of time
So yeah, with Season 0, we tried to create a technology that doesn’t currently exist in this ecosystem, that’s why all those problems happened
Why don't marketplaces support parent-child collections?
Parent-child collections are superior in important ways:
- No need to submit JSON metadata for approval to every marketplace.
- Appear as a collection in any `ord` instance, which includes ordinals.com.
- Children cannot be removed from collections.
- The parent can be burned, which guarantees that more items won't be added to the collection later.
- Generational provenance: Creators can create a root inscription whose child inscriptions serve as parents for multiple collections, so multiple collections can be tied together as being created by the same person.
It even benefits marketplaces! Less code, less moderation, less support.
How can I highlight inscriptions which make good use of features like parent child, attractive on-chain metadata, and sat names? These are all things which are unique to inscriptions, and I think we should all want to see more of.
