Without being subsumed by the seduction of a very physically real, 7-d, local god, we would have seen the sacrifices made by other communities and sides to the walled community than the exploiting side wants you to see. Their god says, "they're weak, look what strength and force gets you and God, they can't do anything of any value like you and your set of men--Do what I tell you."
