It is with a deeply broken heart that I mourn the tragic death of our dear party member, Nwolle Christopher, a native of Affa in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, who lost his life following a violent attack on our peaceful gathering at my campaign office in GRA, Enugu, on 10th October 2026. Christopher was shot by armed assailants during the attack. Despite efforts by the party leadership to save his life, he sadly succumbed to his injuries. His death is a devastating loss to his family, our party and the entire community. Today, I led a high-powered delegation of our party leaders to visit his bereaved family, express our condolences and stand in solidarity with them in this moment of unimaginable grief. No words can adequately comfort a mother who has lost her son, a twin brother who has lost his other half, or a family whose lives have been shattered by senseless violence. My heart goes out to them, and I share in their pain. The death of Christopher must not be treated as just another incident of political violence. His life mattered, and his death demands justice. I am deeply concerned by the disturbing pattern of violence and intimidation directed at members and supporters of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State. On 12th September 2026, our members were attacked during a ward meeting at Obuoffia in Nkanu West, leaving eight members with gunshot injuries. This was followed by reports of tear-gassing, shootings and brutalisation of our supporters at the airport, and now the fatal attack on our gathering at my campaign office. These incidents raise serious questions about the safety of opposition members and the protection of our democratic rights. Political disagreements must never become a licence for violence, and no citizen should have to risk their life simply for supporting a political party or expressing a different political opinion. I call on the relevant security agencies to rise to their constitutional responsibilities. I demand a thorough, independent and transparent investigation into the 10th October attack and the earlier incident at Obuoffia. Those who planned, sponsored or carried out these attacks must be identified, arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law, regardless of their political connections or status. The people of Enugu deserve answers. They deserve security, justice and the freedom to participate in the democratic process without fear. The authorities must demonstrate, through decisive action, that every life matters and that political violence will not be tolerated. Let me make it clear: we will not surrender our democratic rights to fear, intimidation or violence. Our commitment to a better Enugu remains unwavering. We will continue to advocate for a state where justice prevails, human life is respected, and every citizen can freely choose their leaders. To the family of Nwolle Christopher, I offer my deepest condolences. We mourn with you, we stand with you, and we will continue to demand justice for your son and brother. May his death not be in vain, and may those responsible be brought to justice. The Rescue Mission for Ndi Enugu continues not through violence or hatred, but through courage, peaceful participation, accountability and the collective determination to build a better future for our state. May the soul of Nwolle Christopher rest in perfect peace, and may God grant his family the strength to bear this painful loss. Signed, Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa NDC Governorship Candidate, Enugu State

Dear Governor Amuneke of Enugu state, you promised to give Ndi Enugu water in 180 days. It’s exactly 1,233 days since you were sworn in and we are yet to have water in Enugu. The only things you achieved in 3 years, 4 months and 14 days of being Governor is taxing businesses to extinction, joining the evil party called APC and reintroducing violence and thuggery in the state. We will make sure you don’t return to lion building after May 29 2027. Enough is Enough.
Earlier today, I went round the state to Inspect the various water reservoir and pipes. As promised, we will ensure availability of water in our homes in the Enugu metropolis in 180 days. We will also waste no time in replicating same feat in Nsukka, Udi and Awgu axis. Together, we will make Enugu work.

FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN IN NDC DELTA NORTH. @TunjiDisu1 THE ILLEGAL ARREST OF SOCHI OKOLO BY THE POLICE ON APC’s INSTRUCTION. The Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei Campaign Council condemns, in the strongest terms, the night abduction and continued detention of Mr. Sochi Churchill Okolo, a member of this Council and the immediate past senior media aide to the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government This is not law enforcement. It is political abduction, ordered from the Chairman’s office, dressed up as “misconduct” over a Facebook page, and now sustained from Asaba Mr. Okolo created that page. It was opened with his personal email address and phone number. He lent it to the Chairman’s office for visibility. When he resigned a few months ago, he handed over every official account and every channel of communication that belonged to the office. He told them, clearly, that the page could not ethically be transferred, because it sits on his personal details, and he asked them to remove the office’s materials. They agreed. They promised to do so within one week. More than a month later, they had done nothing When the working relationship ended, the page reverted to its owner. He was free to use it. When the Chairman later contacted him, he explained the personal and technical position, while asking for time to review his end That was the last civil exchange. Between 22:00 and 23:00 on Tuesday, policemen from the Issele-Uku Division stormed his residence with no invitation, no letter and no notice, seized him in a dehumanising manner, dumped him at the Issele-Uku headquarters, and moved him to the State CID in Asaba Bail was already in motion. This Council had intervened, and progress was being made — until the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, walked into the station himself, in the company of one Mr. Disu, a police officer recently transferred from Lagos. They ordered everyone out of the room and in less than 5 minutes, emerged and the message was that a matter as minor as a Facebook page ownership was to be taken to court After that visit, the police told our representatives that the State Government was interested in the matter. Our investigations show that the continued detention is now being driven by Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the APC senatorial candidate for Delta North We have seen this pattern before. The Okowa camp and the APC in Delta North do not campaign on a programme. They campaign by fright. Old lies about court rulings. Rented voices. Now a midnight raid on a media aide who left the Chairman’s office and joined the opposition The aim is plain: weaken the NDC in Delta North, frighten supporters of Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, and teach every aide in Aniocha North that resignation is punishable The Nigeria Police Force has allowed itself to be used. No prior invitation. A night raid. A detention prolonged the moment a serving Secretary to the State Government and an APC candidate’s interest entered the room. The Police has also held Mr Sochi Okolo beyond the legal timespan in which a person can be detained without being charged to court having been arrested on Monday Night. Similarly, every attempt to secure the release of Mr Sochi Okolo on administrative bail has been deliberately frustrated by the Police, whose actions appear to have now assumed the roles of the complainant, prosecutor and the court. That is complacency. It is compromise. It is sabotage of an opposition campaign. A Force that claims to serve the law cannot be the private night guard of a local government chairman and a senatorial candidate. The APC cannot preach progressive democracy in the morning and run a police snatch squad at night. We demand the unconditional release of Mr. Sochi Churchill Okolo, immediately. He has no case to answer on a page he created, lent, and properly reclaimed. Anything short of his release confirms that the Issele-Uku Division and the State CID are holding a citizen for politics, not for crime.

Igbo bu Igbo, how is everyone so quiet about this? Three Yoruba men in Oyo State allegedly wiped out an Igbo family of six, including their 5-year-old child. They were reportedly dismembered, and their remains thrown into a stream. And yet, there’s barely any outrage. Where is the condemnation? Where is the demand for justice? If we truly believe every life matters, then this family deserves to be heard too. Justice for this family. Their lives mattered, and they must not be forgotten.

Let it be known that we have tried the diplomatic approach in Akwa Ibom state. Reason has failed and they have violated the social contract. It was not a protest. We were within our rights. This is campaign season. There is only one conclusion. Harassment and provocation by the Nigeria Police under the guidance of the APC. We will not turn the other cheek. …so be it…

PRESS STATEMENT ODCCPA: THERE WILL BE NO SAFE HAVEN FOR BUSINESSES THAT CHEAT, ENDANGER OR EXPLOIT CONSUMERS The Ondo State Competition and Consumer Protection Agency (ODCCPA) has issued a strong and unequivocal warning to individuals, businesses and organisations involved in the production, distribution or sale of fake, adulterated, expired, substandard or counterfeit products, as well as those providing goods and services through unfair, deceptive or exploitative practices across Ondo State. The Ondo State Government will not tolerate any business practice that deliberately puts the lives, health, safety or hard-earned money of residents at risk. Under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Ondo State Government is prioritising the protection and wellbeing of consumers. The ODCCPA will not stand by while unscrupulous businesses take advantage of the people of Ondo State. Let me be very clear as Executive Chairman of the Agency: If you are producing or selling fake drinks, adulterated consumables, counterfeit products, expired goods, unsafe food or beverages, or any product capable of causing harm to consumers, this is your warning. If you are deliberately manipulating your petrol pump or dispensing equipment to give consumers less than they paid for, this is your warning. If you are producing or selling sachet water or bottled water without complying with the required safety and quality standards, this is your warning. To those illegally producing, packaging, distributing or selling herbal alcoholic drinks and other alcoholic beverages without the required approvals, licences or compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements: you are also on notice. Consumers must not be exposed to potentially dangerous products simply because unscrupulous operators want to make quick profits. If you operate a hotel, lounge, restaurant, supermarket, filling station, distillery, factory, warehouse or any other business and deliberately cheat, deceive or endanger your customers, you will be subject to the full force of the law. The Agency’s mandate also extends to service providers whose activities directly affect consumers, including artisans and technical service providers, electricity distribution companies, telecommunications companies and other providers of goods and services to the public. Consumers have a right to receive the services they paid for, accurate information about those services, fair treatment and appropriate redress where things go wrong. We are coming after the practice, not legitimate businesses. Where a violation is established, the Agency will take appropriate action in accordance with the law. Businesses liable under the law may have their premises sealed, offending products may be removed from circulation, and offenders may face prosecution where criminal liability is established. There will be no preferential treatment and no sacred cows. Connections, influence or the size of a business will not determine whether the law applies. A consumer who spends ₦500 deserves the same protection as one who spends ₦5 million. The ODCCPA will pay particular attention to businesses and service providers that manipulate measurements, alter dispensing systems, misrepresent quantities, falsify product information, engage in deceptive packaging, provide substandard services or otherwise give consumers less than what they paid for. If your business model depends on cheating the consumer, it is time to change it. To producers of sachet and bottled water, distilleries, food and beverage manufacturers, producers and distributors of alcoholic and herbal alcoholic drinks, retailers, hotels, lounges, restaurants, supermarkets, filling stations, artisans, electricity and telecommunications service providers, and other businesses operating across Ondo State, review your operations immediately and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and standards.

ENUGU STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE ENUGU POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED THIEVES, RECOVER STOLEN TRICYCLE, MOTORCYCLE, POS MACHINE, CABLE CUTTER, WRAPPERS AND HANDBAGS The Enugu State Police Command has arrested two suspected thieves in separate operations in Akpugo, Nkanu West LGA, and New Haven, Enugu, recovering a stolen motorcycle and tricycle. Operatives also recovered a POS machine, a heavy duty cable cutter and two bags containing new wrappers and female handbags suspected to have been stolen and abandoned by fleeing suspects. On September 9, 2026, at about 5.00 p.m., operatives attached to Nkanu West Division, with the assistance of Forest Guards, arrested Nnamani Chekube Eze (male, aged 24) in possession of an unregistered Sanya motorcycle. The motorcycle was allegedly stolen from a male victim at Obuno-Akpugo, Nkanu West LGA. The suspect has made a confessional statement and is assisting with the investigation. In a similar operation, on August 30, 2026, at about 7.00 p.m., operatives of New Haven Division, while on patrol along New Artisan Market, arrested one Godwin Emmanuel (male) at an uncompleted building near WAEC Bus Stop, Independence Layout, Enugu. He was found in possession of a tricycle reported stolen earlier the same day from a church within the area. The suspect also confessed to stealing a Sumo pumping machine at Maryland, Enugu. He and the recovered tricycle were handed over to Independence Layout Police Division, where he was subsequently arraigned and remanded in Correctional Custody by the court. In a different operation, on September 3, 2026, at about 6.10 a.m., residents alerted the Police to some suspected thieves moving from Ugbo-Okonkwo towards the Powerline area, New Haven. Police operatives from New Haven Division immediately mobilised to the area, forcing the suspects to abandon two bags and flee. The bags, recovered with the assistance of the Neighbourhood Watch, contained 112 new wrappers and 29 female handbags, were subsequently identified and returned to their rightful owners. Further recovered are a Point-of-Sale machine and a heavy duty cable cutter. The motorcycle theft suspect will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation, while efforts have been intensified to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects. The Command's Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, mspsp, smicm, has commended the operatives, community members and security groups for their vigilance and cooperation. He directed that the fleeing suspects be identified, arrested, investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law, reassuring the Command's unwavering commitment to making Enugu State unconducive for unrepentant criminals. This is the traffic light at Presidential Road, Enugu. Look at it very well. It has not worked for months and it is now facing a completely different direction , it is not even looking at the drivers again. But here is the funny part: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has not fixed it. Instead, they will be hiding somewhere waiting for you to cross the small white line so they can hold you and say you "beat traffic light." How do you beat a traffic light that is already dead? How do you obey a light that is facing the bush? Fix the system first before you punish the people. This is a major road. Thousands of cars pass here daily. This is a serious accident waiting to happen, especially at night. My people, have you also noticed this traffic light at Presidential Road? Is it working or is it just decoration? Tag Enugu State Ministry of Transport in the comments. Let them see this. #otanda
